Back street old style Dublin pub that’s worth a visit. Wood heavy traditional interior. Quite a few tourists coming in asking for food menus and being directed around the corner.

Lovely pub, tracing its history back to 1752.
One side of the street looks like it ready for demolition but Mulligans stands on the sunny side of the street.
Traditional and my dublin based colleagues said its one of the best in the City.

Good old school Dublin bar near Tara Street station. As with must city centre bars a bit pricey E 5.20 for a mediocre pint of Smithwicks. A selection of lagers and red 'ales' that all tasted the same. Plenty of old school character just need to find a Dublin pub that sells a decent pint as well.

A great pub. Possibly the best in the city. Top notch service, very good choice of beers and a lovely interior.

Fantastic old pub, comprising two separate buildings - one with a very traditional facade under the name 'John Mulligan' and the other with art deco windows and 'Lounge Bar' above and below the doorway. Inside, there are two dark and plainly-furnished bars, plus a back room with a roof light, all retaining a huge amount of character. Apart from its Guinness reputation and all the usual Irish beers, it also offers a rare outing for McArdles Ale (4.45 Euro). One of Dublin's 'must visit' pubs.

One of the best pubs I have ever had the pleasure of drinking a pint in. The Guinness here is probably as good as it gets anywhere in the world. A must stop when you go to Dublin.
Slainte!

Lovely pints! This is an excellent pub in the city centre. Even though many of the hard-nosed, hard-drinking media crowd (real, old-style newspaper people!) have mostly disappeared, it's still a pub with real character with some real characters (except tea-times Fridays when it's jammed with Celtic Tiger office wallahs). Staff are sound - they don't mind helping or humouring tourists when it's fairly quiet. Rashers says not the cleanest pub in the world - I'm fussy about hygiene and in my many years supping there I've never had cause to complain. Highly recommended.

The fuss is about the fact that it's a really nice, unfussy pub for the sort of people who don't want to drink alcopops or worry about whether the floor's been swept recently. It's unpretentious and happily unfazed by trendiness. The pints are good and the decor is what you'd expect from a traditional Dublin pub: it's the kind of thing that what you might call traditionally renovated Dublin pubs try to fake, usually with little success.

Not sure what the fuss is about, the Guinness is okay, nothing to write home about. Not the cleanest pub in the world.

I remember when the Irish Press crowd drank there. Always brimming with people and good banter, still is last time I was there. And yes, the stout IS that good.

Very good pint. Bit of a darker taste. I have been there a few times for a cheeky one before catching the bus from Westmoreland Street. Has avoided the tosser clientele; mainly full of office workers who like a nice beer a few younger people who look fairly sound and a few older alcoholics who cause no fuss.

it's commonly accepted that this pub serves the best pint of guinness in dublin

Fabulous old pub with probably the best pint of Guinness I've ever tasted!
