Went in late afternoon. Place divided into two, basically 1) bar and associated seating and 2) dining area. No one approached me in the eats area so I went to the bar and waited for a few minutes while the barmaid continued to chat to a customer who appeared to have been served already. Tiring of this, I put my wallet back in my pocket and left.

The food here was filthy dirty shit and the beer tasted like infected yellow stinking piss.

You know exactly what you get at a harvester. Very busy for food on a Wednesday night but the service was good - three different people taking orders whenever I looked like I needed any assistance. Good if you want to eat, elsewhere if you want to drink.

The food is cooked well but the staff seem to be the big problem in this pub. My waitress (dot or maybe Dorothy) I think her name was made my visit awful, when she greeted us to ask what we would like she looked uninterested and didn't even make eye contact. She was the rude throughout the rest of our time there and i think this was just how she is because she was doing the same on other tables. The service is appalling. I didn't even get asked if my meal was OK. I will not be returning any time soon and would like to take this matter further.

I love coming here, as 9 times out of 10 the food is great. The pints of lager are more than reasonably priced, its just a shame it takes about 20 mins to get served at the bar. :(

I am not a regular, but I often enjoy a meal here. Something I have always felt with Harvester is that there is a lot of choice on the menu; for starters, main course and dessert! The breaded mushrooms are amazing; the combination of crunchy breaded exterior, tender mushroom centre and succulent taste is an unrivalled sensation; and no, I dont work for Harvester but they should pay me for that kind of advertisement! But PLEASE, PLEASE, WAIT FOR THE MUSHROOMS TO COOL DOWN OR RISK BURNING YOUR TONGUE! Oh, and the garlic and herb dip is delicious!
I hate sitting around waiting for my food but thanks to the salad bar you dont have to! So go up and get yourself a salad and some bread, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SOME CROUTONS! (I think I spelt that right.) You can also have a refill soft drink, which is always good!
The service is great! I last ate there after returning from Amsterdam for New Years, and in Amsterdam the service was terrible! (Dont get me wrong, I love Dutch people, especially partying with them, but dont ask them to work while theyre working, they hate it!) So it was bank holiday Sunday after New Years, we got off the plane, got on the train and decided to go to Harvester. They were honest that they were busy and they were BUSY! But they worked extremely hard to make sure everyone was served as quickly as possible and our waitress was very sweet, friendly and polite.
The portions are a nice size (and I eat a lot! :-D), the layout is well planned and atmosphere is great! The only negative I can give is that they brought over a couple of spare plates that hadnt been cleaned properly, so because of that one blip, 9 stars out of 10 instead of full marks. Get a better dishwasher!!!

I have just returned from the Harvester W7, after having lunch with my Mother and Aunt. What a total disgrace. The table was wobbly, had to be put straight with beer mats!! The food was edible, but not good. Were told to shout for a waitress or else we would have been left sitting there! After our salad, we had to wait about half an hour for the main course, which was not good. There are no plates on the table, only one set of knives and forks for all courses, and still no side plates, no serviettes, no nothing! It was like a bigger version of a call in greasy spoon. Will not grace the shores of the Harvester ever again. Very, very poor. Food, service, tables, layout a sham.

Boring bland chain pub with boring bland food.

Harvesters are in my view about the dullest of the food-led out-of-town chains and this place is no exception. It's a sizeable place on the road between Boston Manor station and Hanwell. A large part of the interior is given over to eating but there is a bar area on the right-hand side of the pub (looking from the front). Only one handpump, advertising Pride, and otherwise a range of lagers and smoothflow beers. Service from the Australian barman was prompt and efficient - good to see a barman making an effort to identify the order in which customers came to the bar.

Like most Harvesters, this pub is huge with the vast majority of the pub being set up as a restaurant. The bar side is large enough and the beer garden is also big and split into three different sections. All of the ashtrays were dirty and there was crisps and ash on most tables and one had a broken glass on it. Probably not the sort of garden I would want my kids running around in on a sunny afternoon.
Pride is the only ale that I spotted and it was off during my visit yesterday afternoon so I had to settle for a pint of overflowing Guinness served in an almost clean glass. Standard lagers are also available alongside Strongbow, Bulmers, San Miguel and a couple of smoothflows from Tetleys and Greene King.
The barmaid was very friendly and the restaurant was very busy for Monday lunchtime, but I still think that the management could do with putting in a little more effort with keeping the place clean and tidy.
I wouldnt go out of my way to drink here again.

Met up with some old work mates here as a middleground between our homes, I wasn't really liiking fwd to going to the bar in the harvester but must say that I was pleasently suprised. We had a lovely time in the bar, the wine was nice and the drinks reasonably priced and suprisingly quick service considering the queue. My only complaint would be that you have to walk through the resturant to get to the ladies. Cannot really comment on the reastuarant but then this is a pud website and the pub was fine.

Very disappointing went along to treat the kids with icecream sundaes. Ordered waited and 30 mins. When we enquired as to how long the icecream would take we were told there was none left. Waitress seemed new and was apologetic. When I complained to the manager he didnt seem to be bothered. Cant imagine how long they would have left us sitting there had we not enquired. New Years day thumbs down.

excellent food excellent service, reasonable prices, can't go wrong

They have just made the restuarant bigger and the bar smaller, Dont know why? The beers better than the food, Great garden in the summer time, Smoking area is too small and no ventilation, All in all its ok

Leon is a top man.. the food always falls short though.

busy on sunday, but I had very good service from the host,Leon. The cider is Blackthorn, and the wine list heavy on Aussie and South African wines. The cajun chicken was actually spiced just right.

half restuarant half pub (avoid restaurant) pubside massive especially in summer with large garden 45/50 tables outside. Beer terrible but as a restaurant has large selection of wines 1 or 2 even drinkable. Sunday good day to see it busy and see the staff run around trying to find who ordered what food round and round the garden.

Used to be a great pub, was taken over by Trust House Forte still good. Bass took over turned into a dump, Loads of local trade pushed to Northfields. Great location massive garden but a terrible product, no effort to give any service standards. Typical Harvester really if not for it's past and it's potential
