| Went in late afternoon. Place divided into two, basically 1) bar and associated seating and 2) dining area. No one approached me in the eats area so I went to the bar and waited for a few minutes while the barmaid continued to chat to a customer who appeared to have been served already. | You know exactly what you get at a harvester. Very busy for food on a Wednesday night but the service was good - three different people taking orders whenever I looked like I needed any assistance. Good if you want to eat, elsewhere if you want to drink. Mappiman - 24 Apr 2012 18:26 |
| The food is cooked well but the staff seem to be the big problem in this pub. My waitress (dot or maybe Dorothy) I think her name was made my visit awful, when she greeted us to ask what we would like she looked uninterested and didn't even make eye contact. She was the rude throughout the rest of our time there and i think this was just how she is because she was doing the same on other tables. The service is appalling. I didn't even get asked if my meal was OK. I will not be returning any time soon and would like to take this matter further. publover35 - 5 Nov 2011 14:16 |
| I love coming here, as 9 times out of 10 the food is great. The pints of lager are more than reasonably priced, its just a shame it takes about 20 mins to get served at the bar. :( mrbee - 10 Feb 2011 19:25 |
