Ummm.....Something of nothing really. Spotlessly clean to the point where I'd be afraid to bring children inside. Greene King pub so beers are the usual GK offering. They had Black Sheep on as well. It wasn't its best but drinkable all the same. Would I go back? No, I wouldn't go out of my way.

Somewhere on the cusp of traditional country pub and gastro-aspirational. Five beers on, including the Greene King low-duty "Tolly Cobbold" 2.8% bitter. Morland Original and the GK London beer from the tied range, and Old Hooky and Itchen Valley Pure Gold as guests. Not cheap.
Food slightly above average, service generally friendly.
Very child-centred, though - not somewhere to go for a quiet lunch.

Wow! Went in yesterday and I was very, very impressed. Beer was lovely, service was sensational.

Found this Pub on the dog friendly pub website and decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed, The food I have to say was suberb! this is a good traditional English country pub, unspoilt with very friendly and helpful staff, and they allow dogs!

Found this pub while out for a Sunday drive. Had an excellent Sunday Roast with pudding , the portions were enormous . We were made to feel very welcome by the landlord and we have been back several times and we have not been disappointed. I wish I live nearer so I would make this pub my local

anonymous needs to go crawl under a rock and not return. This is a superb pub, with excellent staff, fantastic beer (if overpriced) and great food. Recommended.

Today, after a relatively short walk along the Dever valley we called in at the Half Moon & Spread eagle. This I chose after refering to the BITE web site. We were in luck, the Sunday lunch was on at two for 10.00. And I can say this was excellent value. The roast potatoes were on a par with the best I have ever eaten, outside of cooking my own. The rest of the veg was just right, nothing out of a can. If I have a gripe my beef was slightly overcooked, but the rest of our party had no complaints with their choice. The real ale was Ruddles, ok but a wider choice would have been appreciated. The presence of very young children in the bar may put some people off. And they could lose the piped music. Even so my wife insists I give it an 8.

Lovely food, a real pub atmosphere. Very much a locals place, but we weren't locals and were still made to feel very welcome by the staff. Would recommend as a great Sunday lunch and lazy day venue.

Now if you want to see some really scary animals in Hampshire, try this. Narnia has nothing on Micheldever. Whatever you do, don't stare at the funny zoo-people if you go to this pub.
