Our 2nd unexpected stop after football and on the way back towards town.
A quaint back street pub in a very residential street.
3 pumps offering Green King IPA, Sharp’s Doom Bar and Fuller’s London Pride. I opted for a bottle of Sam Adams Boston lager as I didn’t fancy any of the cask ales.
The walls were adorned with film posters, old signs and various nick nacks. There’s also lots of miss matched furniture
Locals oriented with very much a community feel. A decent back street that’s worth a stop and a beer in.

I live round the corner so this should be my local but the beer has been poor for years so when I visited with a couple of friends last night I was delighted to find Windsor & Eton's Kohinoor (scuze spelling) on and very well kept it was too so well done danny the newish landlord for giving the pub the last ingredient it needed it already has a great garden the food's good and now excellent beer . only one downside does the rock music really need to be that loud??

Quirky pub with interesting decor, service good, food so so, nothing special, but overall not a bad little place.... Will return

Proper backstreet local pub with decent pub food and the best beer garden in Windsor for the summer. Good relaxed atmosphere and decent buzz at the weekends. Wish there were more pubs like this.

Nice pub shame about the member of staff who answers to Bubbles, very rude about people when she thinks they aren't looking.

It is certainly out of the way! I thought this pub would be right up my street with it's quirkyness, and it certainly is that, but the beer was only so so and the service poor. The clientelle seemed mostly interested in themselves in a hippy chic sort of way. By the time we got there my partners palate was jaded so she wanted a vodka and tonic the charge for this greatly lightened my wallet. Dissapointing

Yes, a great litte pub, especially in the past couple of years! Very quirky with all its antique-shop curios, old furniture & knick-knacks, and old Windsor memorabilia in the nooks & crannies! And the sofa, carpets, and cane-chairs on the terrace & garden are very comfy! Street parking nearby is getting worse, unfortunately! Real ales limited to ubiquitous London Pride and usu. just one guest ale, but the calm atmosphere on quiet afternoons - and the upbeat buzz on Friday nights - make this a good place in Windsor to meet up with friends!

What a find! This place is quirky but wonderful. Certainly off the beaten track, but well worth the walk. A good pint of Hobgoblin, too.

I recently visited this pub as it was recommended by a friend. A few years ago this was not the best pub in the world. What a change! I had a truly superb pint of Wychwood's Hobgoblin. The friendly welcome by the Landlord made the pub.
It is a breath of fresh air to discover that the trend is reversing. The sterile air of the managed pub and Witherspoons ilk has definitely not reached as far as the Alma. No parking in the pub but street parking nearby - beware the residents only bays though!

A little off the beaten track being the other side of the by-pass from the town centre and fairly quiet at 4pm yesterday. Two handpumps but only one in use, serving Pride. Nevertheless it was pulled through in quantity before serving......apparently mine was the first of the day! Decent condition it has to be said. Quirky sort of place with all sorts of nik-naks, old clocks, tin signs, theatre and film flyers, a large metal lighthouse and a US airforce model biplane suspended from the ceiling. Wooden floors, a mix of seating and candles on the tables. Nice garden to the rear with more tin signs and two WW2 arc lights......not sure if they work, bet the neighbours like them if they do! A friendly Highland Terrier completes the scene. All in all a relaxing pleasant place, a better beer selection would warrant a higher rating, perhaps there isn't the demand/through pull?

I love this place! Attended a party here last month and have been back every weekend since.Friendly atmosphere and the food is simple, but impressive. Great fireplace too!

What a transformation from 4 years back. Great atmosphere and a good pint too.

I hadn't been to the Alma for some years. It has improved immeasurably. Good Fuller's Beer very nice friendly atmosphere - it won't be so long before I return.

I hadn't been there for ages. it has improved immeasurably. Great atmosphere good staff. Go there!

Stunning atmosphere. For all the pubs in Windsor lacking an atmosphere this one has it in abundance. Live music Saturday's and Sunday's. Great service and good beer...and all the furniture and nic nacks are for sale so you can take the pleasant pub experience home with you at the end of the night. Brilliant!

Liked the mix of people, the decor, and the live music. Prices were fair, particularly for Windsor. My favorite place in town to visit on a Sunday, when you can enjoy the music and extend the weekend just a little bit.

Under new owners from mid-December 2004. Very relaxed atmosphere, great place to spend Sundays drinking and reading the papers. Food menu due soon.
