Royal Standard, Cambridgeback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Now reopened, very pleasant and a nice pint of Wherry, but why oh why do all pubs have to have bloody brioche buns. I don't want my burger on cake.

Obviously didn't make it as a curry house either. It's now a charity shop.

I visited this pub just the once when I lived round the corner. It was an utter hole. That it has become an Indian restaurant suprises me not in the slightest. The building itself is massive, and quite interesting layout - when it was full it must have been quite the place.

Now an Indian restaurant.

A really friendly pub, in the traditional way.

Hi everyone. Wendy Hunt and myself (John Cross) Have just taken over the Royal Standard on Mill Road Cambridge. We are making quite a few changes. Its a great victorian building with 2 good sized bars so we cab have differebt things giong on and offer greater choice. Music is starting to become popular after last weeks BBQ and DJ's and there will be more to come withe a good spread of music styles. We have introduced real ales for the first time in many years here and we will be holding a beer festival of our own, shortly after the Cambridge festival. we wuill notify everyone when we get a date set. Food will be served once we have re built the kitchen. And we will intorduce as many activities and events as we can. We will be entering the pool league next season Basically we're not doing anything extraordinary we just want the pub to be enjoyed by everyone (including ourselves) Come on down. We'd love to chat to all and gather ideas and suggestions
