Excellent food, we've eaten here several times and never been disappointed! A real gem of a place! Gets very busy at lunchtimes.

Visited the pub hoping for interesting beers only to find a rather dull choice of Marstons & Courage. Still it is a pleasant enough place, and the area is surprisingly rural in feel although it is just outside the M25. There is a footpath all the way back to Brentwood though I could not see a thing on my way back to the station!

Visited for the first time (and the second time) in 15 years even though I only live 3 miles away. In short I'm glad I rediscovered the pub. As an ale drinker I found a good selction of local ales (Brentwood) and guests (Sharps Doom Bar, Adnams Broadside). Will def do a third visit soon. In short a good country pub on the outskirts of Brentwood. Does home cooked food (not tried). One word of warning - the pub is on a lethal bend, be warned.

Sad to see the Charles Napier now closed in the High Street still the Thatchers is still good.

Situated in the conservation area of Warley its a old pub which has not changed in the 30 years I have been drinking there. Now serving Adnams Broadside and a local beer brewed by the Brentwood Brewing company which is called Clockwork Orange at 8%.! Food is reasonably priced and so is the beer.

One of the first pubs I visited when i started coming to south Essex on a regular basis,so I have a lot of affection for it,it's got a lovely location and is great for a warming pint after a winter day's walk. The choice of ales is never anything radical, but the likes of Youngs,Theakstons and Bombardier do the job nicely, and the food's not bad either

Nice pub in agreat setting. Food was wholesome and well presented. Worth a visit.

This is the perfect spot to put a pub, by the village green on a curve of a beautiful country road. It is pretty bland, but the beer is ok and it feels a long way from Brentwood High Street and Harold Hill, wven though it isn't.
