Now a branch of the CO OP.

shut down used to have a midget working behind the bar!!

GONE ! A travesty of justice. One of the few true pubs left in the area. Us locals are left wandering aimlessly around muttering "What are we going to do now"?
|
Is this place shut for good?
|
Now all boarded up. Probally for the best.

This pub has really gone downhill but all the same if you're looking for a "proper pub" this is it. The front bar is small and cosy with an open fire and although the regulars are somewhat strange the banter is suprisingly interesting and funny. Give it a go.

What a vile shithole! Avoid at all costs!

the vans in the picture tells you what to expect inside, kept my head down drunk my pint and buggerd off quick..

Bands watch out, get your money before you pay, they usually will only give you less than half the money at the end

Big pub with three bars. The bar with the pool table seems to be frequented by idiots who seem to be constantly on the look out for someone to start a fight with. The rest of the pub is falling to bits. Poorly kept Ringwood makes up the real ale selection. The bar staff seem friendly enough but thats about it.. 3/10

A proper pub just like pubs used to be. No food and interesting locals.Three bars and , usually , one bar staff serving all three.
|
From the moment I walked in and was greeted by a woman rocking violently in her chair who shouted "Are you here for the Karaoke?", I knew I was in a 'special' pub. Bit of a hole, to be polite, but the locals will keep you entertained if you're brave enough.

The pub now has new owners and has had a makeover. Its ten times better now, both the decor, the punters and the atmosphere. Can't wait til the kitchen is reopened which apparently will be the end of the month. The new owners have done more in 4 months than the previous ones did in four years. Pop in and have a look!

Johns description of the pub is pretty spot on.I differ on the friendly locals though.I,ve been in the public bar on occasions and found the younger drinkers to be far from friendly.

See entry for The George. This is where we pitched up after being turfed out at half time. Massive place but sorely in need of a makeover. Bar staff are friendly and so are the locals and we were able to watch the rest of the footie unhindered.
