You�ll all be pleased to find out that the Central is no more as it has morphed into The Coconut Tree which now purports to be an Indian restaurant and bar. Unfortunately, it is more of a bar than a restaurant and after being collared by a pissed up youth at the bar I gleaned that the old Central lot still drink here. There are five or so plasma screens for sports and music channels and there is also a pool table in the corner which makes this place like no other curry house I have ever been in.
The staff were pleasant enough and a selection of standard draught lager is available alongside Guinness, which was good.
I think that this place has an identity crisis and it will end up just the same as its previous incarnation.

horrid places that serves no purpose than to bring down the value of houses in finchley. hopefully all the scum in there will kill all there very few braincells.

Never been In there since about 10 years ago. But on passing when leaving Finchley Central Station on my way to a decent Pub theres always gangs of kids & under 21 outside, It makes it feel a right horrible intimidating place.

The place is a dive yes, but the new managment are trying there best. Beer much better, staff more friendly, just keep the chav kids out please

Only go there if u wanna start off your night with a few drinks...it gets u in the mood. some people in there are v.irriataing n it gets very crowded!

Variety of people...classy, chavs, older, youngest about 16. Majority 18/19yr olds. Good atmosphere, good dance floor. Beware of sleezy olda men.

the staff are rude, obnoxious and lazy. average drinker's age seems to be about 15. nothing good to say about this dive.

drink there sometimes. the beer is aweful. it takes about half an hour to get served and the majority of the drinkers seem about 14 years old. dont go!!!

I've had a few drinking sessions here - usually attracts a young crowd on the pull. Decor's quite Ikea/glitzy.
Very handy for the tube!

I drink there sometimes, people are superficial and very pretencious, excellent meat market for teenage boys. as for some of the staff being any less rude....not a chance!

It's now changed name to "The Central" sadly (the old name was the best thing about the place).
Hopefully the staff are a little less rude than the plankton who used to grudgingly serve in the Ferret..
