Rock'n'roll pub on the harbour. Single large room with that scruffy feel typical of this type of pub. Six pumps - offerings included the pub's own Moorings Ale and Fyne Ales Devaar. Our pints of the latter were not cold enough for me. Jukebox with an extensive selection of music, mainly metal. Sabbath and Metallica were among the tunes played on our visit. Entertainment was provided by a spectacularly drunk man who fell off his stool four times before being carried out by his friends. This pub will appeal to rock/metal types but it's not the sort of place I would spend an evening.

The positives are many fold in this Pub. A fine music pub with excellent jike box, four beers when i visited plus Thatcher's cider as mentioned by 'BitterShurn.' Choices included the Inveralmond house beer which was superb (suspect the same brew as Inveralmond Dunnotar at the Marine Hotel in Stonehaven). However, Hebridean Gold was off which was a shame. The barman persevered with the beer though and offered me a taste with no discernable improvement that I could see. Still, well worth seeking out and one of the better Pub's in Aberdeen.

Good pub down by the ferry port. Raven, Thrappledouser, Thatcher's Heritage and Mooring's Ale on pump. Two other pumps were off. It has an uncompromising heavy metal theme. This doesn't seem to have deterred the conservative gentleman lunchtime drinker. A sign on the toilet door advises patrons not to eat the urinal cakes. Wisdom indeed.

One of the best selections of bottled beers in Aberdeen. Always has a great variety of draught to choose from.

Still on top form. And I've now fathomed how top work the jukebox. Top selection of bottled beers - mostly Belgian. Definite 9.

The best place in Aberdeen for cider, with Thatcher's Heritage and Addlestones available. The only 2 cask ales during our visit were Inveralmond Lia Fail and Atlas Latitude Pilsner. This is definitely a rock bar though, with some rather strange looking people - in fact I think we were the odd ones out!

Unexpected rock pub with great atmosphere and surprisingly good real ale- loved it.

Rock music bar with friendly staff and customers. Unstinting commitment to real ale - usually five on - and this week Hype, The Physics and Peroxide Blonde from Brewdog plus Valhalla White Wife and Stewarts Edinburgh Gold. Real Cider too. An Aberdeen 'must visit'.

Bit of a metal bar. The crowd and the decor are both unusual. Kind of blackbeard meets motorhead. That said, staff and punters are laid back and friendly to everyone, whether the place is your seen or not. There's no snobbery or prejudice.
