Staff are unwelcoming and have a bad attitude. The young female bartenders have their own little gang of regular friends that they socialize with at the bar, and normal customers seem to get in the way of that. My advice is stay away, there are better pubs in the area.

The Litten Tree touts itself as a sports pub and in all fairness it's a good place to watch a game. I went there for the recent game with Villa and Chelsea and there was a great atmosphere, as you'd expect with many of the regulars being Villa supporters.
It was nice to see a Wetherspoons manager really on top of things. He directed us to a vacant table when he saw us frantically looking for seats and I saw him helping out behind the bar and carrying food when things got extra busy. Top marks to the gentleman.

Litten Tree?? More like a Litter Tray!!

I've been hearing rumors about this place closing again. But I've been hearing that on and off for a couple of years now so I'm not taking it too seriously. Saying that it wouldnt supprise me if it did close soon. The Litten Tree often closes early during the week and isn't very busy weekend nights. I find the problems arise from the decor being very much like a social club in the sence that its dark, dark furniture, dark carpet and low lighting. Now in some places this would work but the Litten Tree has little natural light coming in, which for a town centre pub is whats needed. There are some big bay windows but there covered in point of sale so very little light gets in that way. This in turn gives the place very little atmosphere and makes it quiet depressing. Price isn't much of an issue here now , most things are cheaper or only a few pence more than the wetherspoons across the street. The Litten Tree is known for its sports coverage which should secure its future but when the place is packed with people watching the many well placed screens very few have actully purchased anything, an obvious and very big problem, and one I can't explain. Food is good, inexpensive and reasonably quick to arrive. I really do think the down fall of the Litten Tree is in its decor and atmosphere. We'll have to wait and see what the future holds for The Litten Tree.

I use this pub only to watch football. It's not a surprise that the place is struggling to stay in business as the staff shut the tills down before 10:45 pm to avoid having to serve any more customers! Glad I'm not a shareholder in that business, but Witherspoon's aren't complaining! This place is going the way of Yates' and Ha! Ha! Bar, i.e. down the pan.

Typicasl Litten Tree chain - mainly rubbish. And my mate got stopped for wearing trainers!!!!

If you can get to the bar without being propositioned youve done very well.Takes ages to get served so youve plenty of time to give the usual responses (sorry-im married/out with my mates/still infected).Having said that its good for footy and bar staff are friendly(perhaps they want to cop-off too???).

The best place in Sutton to watch sport! Really nice food and staff. The only downside is that this place becomes the chav cattle market at night so once your game has finished get out of there!!!!

This place amaze's me, its got such a nice decor with plenty of comfy sofas and seats, plenty of screens if your into sport and a pretty good DJ friday nad saturday nights. Plus it has table service during the day. The staff are very friendly too always up for a chat and try to make you feel welcome.
Yet its considered one of the worst places in Sutton. Mainly because it has no atmosphere (because no one goes in there, during the day you can walk in and it'll be empty where as the spoons accross the road is packed), there is on many occasions a police van outside on a friday/saturday night. But from what I can see there are more chavs in the spoons (even though theres only about 5 of them in there) than in the litten tree. So why is it considered to be so bad? Maybe its something they put in the beer? Your guess is as good as mine.

typical sutton pub with the typical low lifes that tend to drink in the area

A average Pub at times can be expensive beer wise. Music ok at times though mostly r&b Playing if that your kind of thing. Had some good nights in there and had some bad one's. Gets a bit boring if u go in there every week.Especially every Friday.
