A real community pub which seems to be going from strength to strength.Always a welcoming atmosphere and very good to see the Timothy Taylor Landlord back on. We're already looking forward to Xmas lunchtime in The Cross !

About a mile from the canal but, considering the other local options, well worth it.
A large(ish) pub with 3 handpumps serving Enville, Doombar and a n aother when we visited last Sunday. reasonably busy.
Very friendly and helpful lady serving, the landlord was busy watching the Ryder Cup but was happy to talk as were several of the locals.
No food available.

Popped in with my wife a few weeks ago and it felt a bit strange. Had a sense that the locals regard the place as their own fiefdom and looked at us as if we had just walked into their front room.
The barmaid was nice and polite and the beer fine.
Unfortunately the landlord had to send a local outside because he felt that his foul language would upset my wife (we hadn't actually been listening).
That was nice of him anyway and so we will give it another try

Always a welcoming atmosphere and an excellent pint of Landlord and Enville White normally on along with Tardebigge cider. The only drawback is having to occasionally elbow your way through the regulars who don't like to leave the safety of the bar.

Popped in for a pint for the first time since using this. The had a couple of ales on, Black Sheep and Enville White. I had the latter which was average.
Smokers now congregate around the front door which make getting in and out both awkward and unpleasant.
Apart from some cobs on the bar, there didn't appear to be any food on.

A very good local pub great for a pint of Guiness or one of the ales that are available. Food is available, and on the reports of friends is honest and tasty. A good log fire welcomes you in the winter.
