I waited at the bar longer than I normally would just to see how long it would take for the gormless Australian barmaid to serve me.She had nothing else to but but still took 4 minutes before asking if I wanted anything (why else would I go into a pub if I didn't?). Told her I had given up a long time ago, just wanted to see how long it would take her to realise someone wanted to be served, and walked out.

I west just for some Ale in the late evening and it was Ok. Good indian pale Ale and friendly staff in a beatiful location
|
Beer OK. Bloody noisy with the doors open though!

Unexceptional is a great word to describe this pub. Nice Australian staff and a half reasonable pint of London Gold, but not as good as either the Kings Head or the Courtfield. Food looked cheap and cheerful, but i didn't partake. Dead as a doornail on the 23rd December??? Where does everybody go in Earls Court at Christmas?

This is a very unexceptional pub and I left without a drink as I didnt appreciate standing at the bar for two minutes whilst waiting for the barmaid to finish on the phone.
I spotted Doom Bar, Youngs Bitter and Pride during my wait and there was also another ale being conditioned.
On my way out I noticed the plasma screen which was showing Sky Sports News which was muted and also a sign on the door advertising for team players (waiting staff), maybe they should also be looking for more bar staff.
I cannot see myself returning as there are better pubs opposite the tube station.

Four casks, including Sharps Doom Bar which was on the turn. Pleasant corner location. Offers an all day veggie breakfast. Fairly average place. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing outstanding either.
The pub which impressed me most on the Earls Court Road is Fuller's Blackbird, and that's where I would eat - though the Courtfield has a wider selection of cask ales, so is worth a look in.

Average Spirit Group pub, fairly good effort with the ales on tap (Pride, Doom Bar, Abbots and Theakston XB when I was there) but everthing's a bit lacklustre and the clientele is on the rough side, even for Earls Court. Didn't eat there but wasn't particularly tempted to.
|
Not too bad a place, with the added advantage of fully opening front windows to get a bit of air circulating on a very hot summer's day. Four real ales on, including the new Banker$ Draft from Wickwar Brewing Company (but you would never know this as the pump clip is the first one I've ever seen without the brewery's name on it...). The manager was a friendly chap too.

Contrary to the previous review, this pub was very much open when I visited on Saturday. It's ok but nothing special - they do serve a choice of three real ales though.
|
Closed down - thank God. Now a sushi bar with a very snooty gay club underneath.

relaxed place for winding down on a Sunday evening after a boozy weekend
|
I was there in early July on several occasions. Once was England's last appearance in the World Cup, others were less frenetic. I found the staff excellent, and the food delightful. I also appreciated the stuffed kangaroo.

Great place to meet after work, Staropramen on tap is lovely. Was a bit dissapointed last time with my burger as it was cold in the middle..... BUT it was alright the time before that. Unpretencious, relaxed atmosphere.

Good drinks, lovely food and a lot of friendly staff. Love to come back one day and chat on...luv from the "BIG drinker". See ya!

Worst service ever seen! We have been totally ignored for more than 20min. Cannot recommend it, especially not to tourists! Very disappointed! Happily, the only negative experience we made in London.

Friendly staff, good range of beers and reasonable food. Gets quite smokey when busy though. No sky tv either.

A great place where "everyone knows your name." My friends and I from America came to this wonderful tavern a few times in our stay and felt welcome everytime. The bartenders were excellent and very nice as well. Snake bites rocked!

A lively friendly place that caters to everyone. Barkeeps with a smile. Cheap eats--two meals for 6 pounds.
