Visited on a quiet midweek evening, but still a good place to visit. The candles and low lighting at first tended to suggest it was some kind of gastro pub, but don't always judge a book by its cover, once inside it was welcoming and a perfet place to spend an hour or two. Several real ales were on offer, and the one tried form the Strathbraan brewery was in good form, if a little expensive. We tried the food, and this was very well priced, good value and arrived quickly and with a smile. The Barmaid was friendly and whilst the wood buring stove was very nice, I'm sure the views in the summer from the patio outsie are great - just too cold and too dark on our visit.

Visited yesterday and there were two beers from a local brewery, Strathbraan. I had the Due East (the other was Head South, I think- perhaps that was what they were trying to tell me). A very pleasant 4.2% session beer.

Beer was in good condition and it's a nice pub, food looked decent and beer was in good condition (Trade Winds and Landlord). But we were charged 3.84 for two halves. That's more than London prices!

This pub enjoys a great setting in the lovely town of Dunkeld and its garden sits on the bank of the River Tay. The pub itself lies across a road and is a nice traditional place that clearly prides itself in its live music. Cairngorm Trade Winds & Timothy Taylor Landlord were the two ales on offer. There is also a nice terrace at the front, if you don't fancy crossing the road.

Advertised as "Scotland's Music Pub". Moderately cooked food served in a pleasant atmosphere. Beer and food not overpriced. Friendly efficient barman.

Simply one of the best pubs I have ever been in and am ever likely to go into. Amazing.

Nice little boozer, Great garden across the road on the banks of the Tay

One of the best pubs in the world! Used to be owned by Scottish Folk legend Dougie MacLean and his wife. The local scottish folk music scene is alive and well in Dunkeld and this pub never fails to astound. Great food, great beers, friendly scottish atmosphere not to be missed. If you can play a tune, grab a guitar from the wall or plunk down on the piano and let go!
