Been in a couple of times. Up to four real ales on from Thwaites and a variety of local breweries. Beer quality fine.

Agree food can be a bit off putting, but still good beer and watching sport

I drink in here all the time and its a good pint, but it can be a nightmare on match days getting served. Had some really awful meals in here, used to be spot on but for some reason, it has gone downhill since it first opened. My friends dont like this pub because the kitchen is in the main bar and reckon you can smell all the grease and fat and puts them off their beer. I cant tell myself but thats probably cos too busy drinking. Its toilets are clean and warm! Not particularly cheap neither, but hey they do have a free juke box.

Great boozer, good food, good beer and very friendly staff. Sounds like somewhere I'd go quite often....... and do.

One of my regular haunts - mainly on Saturdays for my dinner. Nice decor, beer is always good quality and I don't mind paying a bit more for that. Meals are excellent and don't take long to serve and staff are very friendly.
Yes, it can take a while to get served when the place is full, such as on a match day and the TV's show non-stop sport - though all pubs do this these days.Sometimes the volume is turned down so I can hear the free jukebox (that's a rarity too!).
Large upstairs area and toilets are immaculate (and warm too). Highly recommended.

Generally feel uncomfortable when in here but not sure why! No real ales, few staff, can have a long wait. Just not my sort of pub but bet its great on match days though!

Normally pop in a couple when on all day sessions. Ok to have a few pints through the day. Always seems to busy and get an ok pint. Wouldn't bother on a matchday but as its heaving.

Has a staff to customer ratio of 1 to 500. I bet they are running a 12% wages budget. It takes alot to make the spaceman walk away from a beer pump but standing about with a mouth like a nuns tuppence will do it. Shame , cos its a cut above the other local drivel. They clean their beer lines and I tell thee thats rare round here. I heard the foods ok but I don't care. I like booze in pubs and this ones good enough for this drunk.

It's like having your local in the middle of the city centre. Fantastic atmosphere on match days.
