Myself & a friend visted on a Friday night in November 2014. Very busy. There was a DJ who played some good dance music. Very busy. Cider cheap but not very nice. No trouble seen but I think the bouncers were on top of it before it happened. Bouncers were kept very busy! Good for people watching. Major downside was nearly 30 stairs to the ladies toilets!

Went in here recently to watch the champions league final with my footy team. Was rammed but a reasonably good atmos, not much menace as far as I could see. Cheap lagers, chea (and grim) chicken wings. Did the job, you know what to expect.

Well perhaps I went on a bad day, started off with a foul gobby old git who was well pissed shouting about the glory days of the mighty Hammers,he then proceeded to crawl out to the phonebox and urinate in there, then he limped back in swearing all the way,he must have been 70,shame on him should have known better. Not sure if I would go again the threat of violence was never far away, felt like if you looked at someone wrong you might have a problem. On the plus side the staff were polite and helpful, concidering the low lifes they had to contend with.Lots of losers and sad old gits moaning about the glory days of West Ham and how their time would come again.Did not stay for food as the sad old git who had used the phone box earlier as a commode wanted to tell me about how he got his limp from driving a milk float into the Thames, got out quick.

The Goose in Stratford was a joy, i went there with a group of friends for some food and a laugh. We ended up staying the whole night, the food was amazing, and the deals are exceptional. The staff were very nice and helpful, pointing out some of the amazing deals and offers they had available. The selection of beers was vast and satisfied all of us. I would recommend this pub to anyone who wants a good night out and food of the highest quality, thank you to all the staff at the Goose in Stratfoed, i will see you again soon

Goose in stratford is worst place in london in terrible service with rude stuff !!!! I was there yestoday and gone in bad mood and hungry. I thing owner need change him personal !
I work nearby, so the Goose is my local. Seems quite reasonable, food is acceptable.
Fenriz, you must really value your gf if you took her to a "crappy run down boozer in the middle of Shitsville frequented almost exclusively by losers and lonely old pensioners."
You could always go to the Spoon down the road and have dodgy beer and crap food there...and pay more for the privilege
puff.n.dip, you're obviously taking the piss, right? I don't know what 5 star hotels you've been at, but if I ever went to one like the Goose I'd demand my money back! Not so much a 5 star hotel, the Goose is actually a crappy run down boozer in the middle of Shitsville frequented almost exclusively by losers and lonely old pensioners. I took my girlfriend there a while ago, and not only did they give us the wrong food, we had to put up with all the sad old 70 year olds gauping at my gf like they'd never seen a female before!
The food and beer is cheap....but it's hardly surprising, considering they serve you a glass of gnats piss and a turd on a plate. If you enjoy spending your Saturday afternoon sitting in a dreary cavenous hellhole with a bunch of sad old losers, come here.
BSD, puff.n.dip, are you sure you're reviewing the right pub. This place is an absolute dive. Full of those 'down on their luck' types. The booze is very cheap and the food is cheaper, but both are shit. Avoid, unless you've only got a quid to your name and want to spend it on a glass of shit.

Yet another great visit to my favourite pub! Great pint and so cheap! Always made to feel welcome by the staff. A must if your in the area and fancy a pint and a nice bite to eat.
this pub is the cleanest pub i have ever been in, it has the same standreds as a 5 star hotel. the staff are helpfull and very well manored. the beer is one of the best pints iv ever hade and it cums at such a cheap price. 1.60 for a pint of carlsberg, i was in the all day. i would recomend this pub to any one (young or old). the atmospher is great and they have great background music. the food is great and so cheap. the food starts at 2.99, i couldnt believe how cheap it was. it tasted great and was very well presented. go to the goose at stratford if you want a great nite out without any trouble.
What a pub always welcomed by friendly staff and as for the landlady always got a smile for her customers! Nice food and lovely pint, or 2!! Oh and its cheap!!
A wonderful boozer if you're a sad loser who enjoys sitting in an aircraft hangar full of mad pensioners and jobless immigrants whilst spending your last 3 on 7 pints of watered down lager.
If you're not that kind of person (or if you don't like having to wait 40 minutes for your 40p a pint Carling Cats Pee With Added Water) stay away. If you're alcoholic but nearly skint, try the Weatherspoons a few doors down - nearly as cheap and at least the staff are friendly (albeit in a "Have A Nice Day" kind of way).

Shakespeare found a mouse in his pint here.
My girlfriend and I used to go to this pub for food occasionally. But one day about two years ago we saw a mouse in there and neither of us have ever been back since!
Cheap and not cheerful, bad food and not the the nicest beer.

Food disgusting, staff rude and it's always full of very strange old men and foreigners trying to sell you pirate DVDs.
Cheaper than most places, and lots of space to sit down, and it's still an awful pub. Don't go there.
This Is The worse pub to go too, they must pub hires staff with attitude problems. Went before was bad, thought would give another go, no change, rude staff, less people than last time visited which was 4 months ago, nothing has changed, Would not recommend this pub unless you want to be abused by the staff, not unless you get chucked out before you enter the door
have agree with the other reviews, staff just want you to go away sit by uself anything but strike up a converstion
but very cheap, seems to attract some very strange people, one old guy got up on the table and took his trousers down apparently he does this often, but they still let him in, i dont trust the food so i dont try it
go for cheap drinks, but not to pull or make friends
Staff Rude, Reminds me of a cold Barn , not much character and uninteresting.
Feel like if u looked at someone the wrong way you would get into a situation.
Been once , never again.
Gave this pub another go, pub has became very unpopular since last time went, and staff are still very rude, witnessed one member of staff swearing at a guy because he accidently spilt his drink over the bar top. Will not go back again

The food is good and it's nice and big. Way to smokey. The bar staff is not very helpful especially one guy named Simon. Big geezer that swears at the customers. Don't go there people. Better pubs around with better staff

Staff not very helpful, good atmosphere pub, very smokey, not really a family pub. could do a lot better

Very cheap for beer and food, and good quality too. Quick service and plenty of seating. One drawback is that it is extremely smoky. Not from July 2007!
For a big town centre this is a big bar, by way of atmosphere it really hasn't got much but that said it's light, spacious and I like the nice leather comfy sofa's dotted around which are blissful to slump into with a pint at the end of a day at the grind. There's a upper tier level for non smokers and the toilets are clean as a whistle, best part is the meal with a beer deals which are good value especially if you're meeting up with mates after work. The beer prices won't leave you out of pocket either as the competition from nearby weatherspoons and yate's is rife, the staff are friendly and my only quibble is the sometime lack of ashtrays but that said....yup, I like it :-)
The best of the cheap price pubs in the area.Comfortable seating, clean and nicely decorated, toilets excellent.Staff are a bit slow but at their prices this can be forgiven.
Lousy beer and the bar staff were slow and unhelpful. Apart from that, the place looks good.
