I visit Blackpool quite often , mainly on a saturday, and I have been in the Litten Tree on many times !! but never again !!, the service is allways slow and not with a smile, not good for this type of work, but they all seem the same staff and management, uninterested. I am a polite person who waits his turn to get served and if someone was before me then I say, the bar staff do not take notice on who has waited or don`t appear to care and they all look really uninterested , the man who seems to be the manager(about 5`5" with little or no hair and a less than a happy look, maybe not the job for him) , anyway last night (sat 11 feb), I went in for a lager , I only usually have 1 or 2 , but I waited about 10 mins and stayed at the same part of the bar, all the staff new it was my turn, the man sent 1 staff member to the other part of the bar and he moved further away serving people who had just arrived, finally i`d had enough and said to him "do I have to go to a part of the bar to get served ?, he said what ? !! so I repeated the question " and added I havebeen here ages and you are serving all before me !! he said !! "you won`t be served now" so I was not allowed to ask a question when in the right !! I was polite and none agressive !! so I left and went to another bar and was served by a polite smiling bar person straight away !! but my night was ruined by this man at the Litten Tree who was in my opinion poor and reading some of these reviews I would be worried if I had an interest in it`s future, in these times money is hard and in a service industry, the priority is good quality service, this bar in my opinion and reading the reviews many others who can be bothered to do this review, it needs to change ASAP. Thank You for your time !! Best Wishes Neil

I was in Blackpool last week and visited the pub on several occasions and found the staff and service ecselent. The prices were reasonable and the food was good so reading the other reviews there has been a great improvement. KEEP IT UP !!

Went in there lunchtime on Monday 7th March 2011 before the Blackpool v Chelsea game. The bar staff were asking people their postcode when they brought their round with the locals getting cheaper prices. When they realised what was going on the Chelsea fans quite rightly walked out en masse, some leaving full pints.
Pub is a disgrace, avoid it like the plague if you are not a local.
If you are up there for football go to the nearby Walkabout or Soul Suite where the staff and atmosphere were great especially the Soul Suite which never seems to shut.

I live near Blackpool and visit this pub on a regular basis but I have to say avoid at all costs if you want a reasonably quiet drink and a meal on Friday or Saturday lunchtimes. At around 12 noon they start to arrive, pushchairs by the dozen, by about 1 O'clock the pub resembles a a childrens nursery with some of the mothers ignoring their offspring and letting them run riot around the tables. I did mention this to one of the managers and asked what the company policy was regarding the children and was told that there is no requirement to have a meal when in the premises as is with the Weatherspoon Chain. If you like children go there otherwise give it a miss.

Had I posted this last week it would have been a very good report. I work in Blackpool Mon - Fri and only discovered this pub a few weeks ago. I've eaten there a few times and have always found th eservice to be excellent and the food very good value. It mught not be cordon bleu but for it very good for the price. However, I went there on Wednesday 3rd Nov, sat at a table, checked the menu, and waited to be served. And waited, and waited, and waited. After about 25 minutes I decided that the slender blond waitress couldn't see me.So I left! I know I should have made a fuss there and then but the football was on and I was keen not to miss any. Although being an Arsenal supporter the result just compounded my disappointment of the evening. So instead of an 8 it's a 4 and it's a pub I'll probably not go back to.

we ate here on the 16th sept 10, main meal was really nice,as we were eating we noticed the waitress serving other tables asking if they would like any dessert,we had decided that we would have one however during our meal people were asked to move because there was going to be a darts and domino game as we were sat in that particular area the waitress ignored us i saw that she had noticed that we had finished eating our main course but chose not to come over to our table we were very dissapointed about the darts and domino team if they knew they were going to have a game thay should have put a polite notice up saying that was happening we left very dissapointed and angry that we had been pushed out. if you were to eat here i would recommend asking if there any games about to happen.

Nice looking bar with reasonable drinks prices but will NEVER eat there again! Food was ordered at 4.00pm (we ordered sausage + mash and BBQ chicken) ...... it had arrived by 4.07pm!! It had obviously been microwaved. The food was warm and I could actually cut the mashed potato into slices! Very disappointing and won't be visiting again!

While I agree that this is a 'disco pub in the town centre', I think it was OK!!! Two ales, of which I only tried Boddingtons Cask - not bad at all. Plus the Guiness was good too!
A nice place to enjoy 'town drinking'!

Sadly like a lot of Blackpool's pubs, 3 handpumps with nothing on them, just bare.Give them their dues though the Guinness @ 2.20pint was served to perfection and tasted delicious.Very big and open pub but sadly dead for late on a tuesday evening, 6/10

Yet another duff disco pub in the town centre.
