The Auctioneer, Blackpool

This is just a basic South Shore pub, it is in trouble at the moment because it not as cheap as some of the other establishments in the area, which means that unless Blackpool FC are playing at home it is very quiet.
As I am living in the area I can only conclude that as they don,t give any preferential prices to locals they are voting with their feet and using other establishments which do.

The Litten Tree, Blackpool

I live near Blackpool and visit this pub on a regular basis but I have to say avoid at all costs if you want a reasonably quiet drink and a meal on Friday or Saturday lunchtimes.
At around 12 noon they start to arrive, pushchairs by the dozen, by about 1 O'clock the pub resembles a a childrens nursery with some of the mothers ignoring their offspring and letting them run riot around the tables.
I did mention this to one of the managers and asked what the company policy was regarding the children and was told that there is no requirement to have a meal when in the premises as is with the Weatherspoon Chain.
If you like children go there otherwise give it a miss.
