please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
As far as I know, nobody would chose to come here. Seems to be entirely booked groups and after work drinkers. Souless and expensive, everything that's wrong with C.london 'pubs'.

This was the first Ive been to any Pitcher and Piano but wasnt impressed. It looked very similar to a lot of ex. Bank conversions to me and even on a Friday at 5-o-clock it was not very busy, probably because of the over priced beer and the loud music.
Maybe I picked the wrong day to visit as it was a very hot 30⁰C but there was no Air Con and the leather seats were uncomfortable as the design of the table and chair arrangement left little room for people?
To end on a positive note it was clean bright and tidy but Im not in any rush to return.

I do not have the time to explain how terrible this place is.

If you google "shellakasimmo", all you find is unbelievable glowing reviews of pitcher and piano 'pubs'. It makes me think that she works for thier marketing dept and this was her job for a day.

This is the first time I have been here in a while and it has completely changed. Very cool looking bar, the staff were good and the food was delicious.
Probably one of the best places in Holborn!

This is an unremarkable Pitcher and Piano, but I was expecting nothing more. Staropramen, Hoegarden, Pedigree keg and bog standard lagers are all available. My pint was a short measure, but I didnt ask for it to be topped up as I couldnt wait to leave.
There is a big projector screen at the back and some gallery seating upstairs. Any noise seems to be amplified through the building making the general chatter of the other customers sound like a full blown riot.
There is some seating on the pavement outside where I managed to escape to.
Not somewhere Ill be heading off to again in any great hurry.

Impossible to hear anything in here, apart from crap thumping house music and the honking voices of the suits who flock here to crow after work. The only saving grace is a hidden underground drinking area/pool room which is actually ok and blissfully shielded from the music. The entrance to it looks like a fire exit so hardly anyone ever finds it-it helps that most visitors to this place 'aint that smart. The staff are tolerable but the drinks and menu are poncy and annoying, like all P&Ps.

It's a Pitcher and Piano.
Is there actually anything else to say?

Nice Black leather sofas in the window,Ok for relaxing in but not practical for eating. The bar is a conversion possibly from a small cinama. The whole place lacks atmosphere and has tables like a Canteen. Prices for a Bottle of Wine and pint of Lager were reasonable and the food Ok. But did not like the bar staff giving the change on a saucer. Plenty of Traditional pubs in the area to choose from. Not in any hurry to go back.

Just wanted to say thanks to Sam the barman who gave my girlfriend change to get the bus and then sat with her on the way home, after I had got too drunk, acted like an idiot, and then disappeared. Good lad!
Also, thanks to the other member of staff who kept my bag for me after i had left it there :-)

Ugh. Do we really have to list every single P&P in the damned country?? Why not just the nice ones. Which this isn't. It's too busy and too small.
