Very handy for the Tram Station with a quiz on Wednesday (online only so not for me). Greene King beers with a couple of guest ales but none of them were particularly impressive. The best pint of the night was Abbott Ale.

Cask Marque.
Llandudno's Oldest Pub.
At the tram terminus - so catering for thirsty Great Orme goers. Packed then empty in the space of 30 mins. Sign on the Gents loos, stating strictly no women.
Beer was mainly from Greene King - with a Sharps Sea Fury in good condition.

Decent location with large outdoor seating area. Ale not on top form on my visit, especially at £4 a pint!

Unlike cottage loaf you can still sit and drink in this pub, main dining area is seperate from bar area .Beer was ok, but most expesive in the area 8quid for 2 pints!
Oldest pub in Llandudno? Great location, relaxing ambience and good guest beers.
Probably the best pub in Llandudno for pub atmosphere, but a pity there's nothing other than Greene King beers.
One of the best Pubs in Llandudno, though has rested on its laurels somewhat and has been overtaken by the Cottage Loaf. The beer has become expensive and is inconsistent. The food is also a bit hit and miss. However the location adjacent to the Victorian Tramstation make it worth a visit and you may be lucky and hit it on a good day

We found this by far the best pub in Llandudno.
Interesting setting, good beer and food at just about bearable prices.
Nice to sit out in good weather.
The ambience of this pub is totally wrong. Ear splitting pop music blasting out does not fit in with the character of the place. Very expensive too.
Quality pub this, I went in on Thursday afternoon and had a couple of the Great Orme brewerys 'Merlyn', was very nice. The pub is decked out in dark wood and has lots of nooks and crannies, if I lived here I'd visit often.
Nice pub, our favourite in Llandudno. Can get busy at weekends. Caters for a more mature clientele. Beer good rather than great.
I was here twice last week whilst on holiday in Llandudno. The atmosphere was buzzing. Very friendly staff too. The Conwy ale was good. Definitely worth a visit!
Apparently the oldest pub in Lllandudno which located next door to the tramway to the Great Orme. The bar is in the centre of the pub with the lounge going all the way round at various levels. The one in the far corner is the restaurant. They had a good selection of real ale but it was rather pricey, as was the food. The soup, however was very good. It was very friendly and the decor was traditional.

Great pub, with bags of atmosphere. The Quiz Night on a Weds is always well attended by local teams and a great laugh.
Quite liked this pub although I think sitting outside on a warm Summers evening probably helped to form that opinion. Situated at the foot of the Great Orme tram terminus & slightly out of the town centre it seems that this is a meeting place before people move on elsewhere. Didn't spend too much time inside but it was traditional dark wood with split levels & an open fire. GK IPA, Abbot & 2 guests from Mordue & Adnams. Large beer garden/car park its worth the walk out of town.

On our golfing tour we visited the Kings Head. Good pub, only two ales though, which was disappointing. The barstaff spent a lot of time chatting to each other and we had to call them a couple of times but inspite of that a very friendly well oiled landlady was very hospitable. Lovely interior, real traditional feel to the place.

over 20 years since i went in. on the door it said the oldest pub in llandudno.their was many few steps to many levels in the pub, notice the level for the dining room which i eat in when i was last in the pub. had a 1664 which was good. would go again.

22 of us went on Saturday 10 October 2009 for my husbands 50 birthday. The meals were excellent and the staff were fantastic. This is the 2nd time a large group of us have gone to this pub for food and we will be going back againl

Traditionally furnished, comfortable wood-pannelled split level pub located close to the lower terminus of the Great Orme Tramway, which is visible from the outside seats at the front of the pub.
Although it's a single bar, there are distinct areas. Low ceilings, subdued lighting and burgundy wallpaper help create a warm cosy atmosphere. It retains etched windows and has a mixture of carpeting and flagstoned flooring. It's supposed to be the oldest pub in Llandudno - 300 years plus.
In the raised part of the pub was a flat screen TV but, pleasingly, despite it being Champions League fixtures night, it remained switched off.
There's a separate restaurant at the back and food may also be ordered at the bar. As well as attracting holidaymakers, it seems, based on my visit, to have a regular crowd of locals, which is always a good sign.
"Llandudno Enthusiasts" ( whoever they are ) have voted this pub as The Best Pub in Town 2007, as evidenced bythe framed certificate at the bar. I was tempted, as I often am in this type of situation, to ask to be directed towards the pub with the current award, but decided against it.
Beers on during my visit were Greene King IPA, Abbott ( which appeared to be regular ) , plus 2 guests, Triple FFF Alton Pride - a rare sighting this - and Skinners Heligan Honey. The Triple FFF Alton Pride - served in a Courage Directors branded glass - was in good nick. A friendly local told me that they had had Mordue IPA on several days earlier. Despite the regular Greene King beers, I didn't see anything to indicate it was a GK pub.
The pub is a GBG regular.
I quite liked this pub. If I have one complaint, it is that they were desperately slow in clearing away the dirty plates and glasses on my visit.
If you're in Llandudno, I recommend you try and make time to call in.

Great staff, especially SAM. nine of us went there for dinner two nights out of the seven we were on holiday. Seven of us are from the USA and we found the staff very friendly and the food outstanding. Had a great time. Thank you
Nicest pub in Llandudno. Warm in winter by the real fire and cosy lighting. Attracts a crowd of older friendly locals. Pretty good beer choice (Deuchars IPA, Abbott, Green King IPA) Dog friendly. Now they're serving the full range of Pieminister Pies (and mash) which are delicious.
Nice pub good atmosphere Tasted several beers/lagers over period. Stella Artois was flat, other beers good. Meals were overpriced, my Thai curry was grey/bland/insipid, poorly presented
Great pub, possibly best pint of Abbot in the northern hemisphere. Friendly.
keep out of this place,it's my local and getting far too popular!

Best pub in Llandudno !! Well not quite
As good as ever. Don't like change as usually for the worse so thank goodness the beers are the same good quality - the staff just as friendly and the homely surroundings exactly as I remembered them. If only I could take this pub home to Southport I would.
Totally agree with every good comment made about this pub - and more! Ale in perfect condition - staff humorous and so friendly and access for someone like myself who is disabled well catered for. by bid
claims to be he oldest inn of the town. sits by the lower tram station on the old road to the mine on the great orme. interior has been tastefully expanded to cater for more customers. many of the original features retained. fireplace, etc. central bar with surrounding spilt-level rooms and outside seating. small range of well kept cask ales. greene king abbot, ipa and theakson old peculier when I visited. april 2007. very pleasant.
Very nice pub. Top service and drinks, full of character. Does get busy at weekends, but not too busy. Good music, and some live music to be seen too.

Probably the best pub in Llandudno, regular changing cask although not always welsh! Restaurant at back, food on the expensive side in the evening.
Can be a little hard to find being behind the tram station BE CAREFUL CROSSING THE TRAM LINES,excellent beer, freindly people, look out for the glass depicting the tram leaving the station, nice and warm although maybe on the small side
Pub full of character and characters. The best pub in Llandudno. Plenty of interesting items to look at inside whilst sampling the well kept beers. Also a pleasant place to sit outside in the summer.
a great place to meet friends and have a quiet drink or a great night out on a fri or sat and the beers not bad either

Very good feeling to the place. Beer quality and service top notch.
Best pub in Llandudno for a few reasons. First, it is off the beaten path so you won't be bothered by tourists. Second, a very nice selection of real ales are available (Abbot Ale, Tram Driver-local special and Tetley's Bitter). Also, the pub has a great atmosphere. Mostly older crowd and it has a great fire to sit by an enjoy a pint (or ten). Very reasonable price structure.
