Not our sort of pub but clean and friendly and very good selection of real ale. Old school landlady so mind your p's and q's

About a 10 minute walk from the station. Large open plan bar with a pool table in a seperate room. 10 or 12 handpumps featuring mainly West Country ales from 3. Food limited to sandwichs, pies and jacket potatoes. Well worth the visit.

One of the best pubs in Crediton, great for real ale and always seems to be open. Popular with locals and visitors too.
9/10

Excellent pub with high quality and varied selection of ales. Good library if you're on your own and want a quick scan of beer related publications. Biggest and allegedly best (not a fan myself) Scotch Eggs I've ever seen in a pub. Another 'Tarka Line Rail Ale Trail' pub and well worth the walk from the station. Also has the added benefit of being open all day so useful for the large afternoon gaps which often exist on this particular ale trail. Well worth an 8

Yes this is a decent well run pub where you can relax and forget about all your worries.Interesting blue paint work in the gents and a nice bar interior.
I would give it 9/10

Beautiful old-fashioned pub - a good selection of beer, friendly and with a lovely atmosphere. No televisions, no fruit machines, just good background music and people talking. Well worth the train journey and 15 min walk from the station.

Visited again recently for my Father in Law's wake and what a fantastic spread Diane laid on for all. All homemade food and great ales meant the occasion went smoothly which is what my FIL deserved. Thanks.

cant fault the ales, nice mild on for national mild day guest beers make it worth a visit

Bearable pub, friendly staff & decent beer but awful food. Try the lamb in sandford.

Outstandingly good pub for real ales and friendly welcome. Eclectic range of music (sometimes over-loud) from home-brewed PC jukebox. Can be a little quiet, and the refurb must have removed some character, but can't fault the landlady's good honest pub ethic. Simple short menu of good home-cooked food Fri-Sun only. Well worth a detour for the real ale alone.

Best Real Ale for miles around. Not a gastro pub, but excellent pub grub. The chips are chunky and come from a potato not a freezer bag!!
