I recently enjoyed a Sunday lunch time pint of Wells's Bombardier which was served perfectly. The staff are always friendly and you just don't want to leave this place. They were also serving two other real ales, Theakston's Black Bull and Sharpe's Doom Bar. Sadly i only had time for one pint! Will definitely go back and would recommend it to others to try. I have also heard some good reports about the food.

Good pint of Theakstons Black Bull and possibly the best meal I have had in a pub in donkeys years. Well done and keep it up!

Friendly welcome, attractive barmaids behind the ramp, well-presented smart multi-level pub half a mile from what I guess would be termed the 'town centre'. Personally I found it a little too bland whatwith the incessant lounge/chillout 'muzak', and somewhat sanitised air, but the bar had a decent trade throughout our Saturday evening visit, so clearly doing plenty right. The all-conquering Doom Bar was on offer, along with 2/3 other ales.

Visited yesterday, excellent meal Sunday Roast, and value for money. The real ales were perfect, and the staff friendly.
Quite a nice pub, friendly, food's not bad a little bit pricey.
Nice boozer with a few seats outside for when it's sunny, visited here completely by accident due to getting lost from the train station but it served a nice drop. A couple of dogs loitering around inside

great pub when we went with staff from work.its great place to meet with friends or people from work.i also hurd that the food is really nice from here.will defentley drink here again.

Yes, it IS a very impressive refurb. I miss the pool table though, but then I like a bit of spit and sawdust. Great comfy leather chairs if you're looking to veg out with a pint or a glass of wine. Friendly staff, plenty of outside space for the smokers.
Really good refurb. nice decor and furnishing. Lively but plenty of space for a quiet chat and still has agood selection of real ales but it is rather pricey now. 3 a pint is forcing me over to the home brew.
The refurb is nearly finished and we hope to be open on tues 8th july 2008 at 8pm. A complete transformation has taken place no more stale tobbaco odurs, dingy toilets, duck egg blue, tired and dated decor. Same friendly staff, a passion for real ale and real pubs, dogs still welcome, will be serving food from 15th july and our first beer festival will feature 6 local ales and 3 national and mild, hope to see you all soon and too hear what you think, regards Malcolm and the Dickens team.

Refurbishment internally commences monday 19th may 2008 will be completed early july, long overdue but worth it, garden should be even better by then, thanks for the encouragement. A beer festival is planned for end of july and much more over the comming months.

New landlord and its really improved. Making great efforts and soon to be refurbished. This part of Worthing needs a good real ale outlet. Lovely Coopers Butt guest ale.
Rambling pub, not spic and span but with some character. Showing considerable improvement under new management.
New guvnor on board! Hopefully things will get better again.
Not currently serving food, big screen TVs have beeen removed awaiting refurbishment.
Last time I visited here there was a no smoking area upstairs. Usually a decent selection of ale on tap.
Is this a private chat room or can any one join in. I think this pub has the potential to be a goldmine. High population area, not many ( if any ) other decent pubs nearby and its huge with a good sized beer garden near the beach. What more could you want. I wish the new owners every success.

Hi Raykay, many thanks for your feedback. The band from NYE will be back. The live music restarts St Patricks Weekend (17th & 18th March) with a band called Shenanigans. We are then looking to have bands on Saturday nights, DJ's friday nights (including guest appearances twice a month from Splash fm DJ's). Then during the summer months (and possibly beyond) duo's on thursday nights. Good food and beer will continue... Watch out shortly for our web site which will have all the bands, etc on there. Regards

Not recommended for non-smokers who want to retain lungs. Food mediocre but good beer and live music.
