I recently enjoyed a Sunday lunch time pint of Wells's Bombardier which was served perfectly. The staff are always friendly and you just don't want to leave this place. They were also serving two other real ales, Theakston's Black Bull and Sharpe's Doom Bar. Sadly i only had time for one pint! Will definitely go back and would recommend it to others to try. I have also heard some good reports about the food. RIHM72 - 9 Jul 2012 13:03 |
Good pint of Theakstons Black Bull and possibly the best meal I have had in a pub in donkeys years. Well done and keep it up! The_Sloven - 25 May 2012 00:02 |
Friendly welcome, attractive barmaids behind the ramp, well-presented smart multi-level pub half a mile from what I guess would be termed the 'town centre'. Personally I found it a little too bland whatwith the incessant lounge/chillout 'muzak', and somewhat sanitised air, but the bar had a decent trade throughout our Saturday evening visit, so clearly doing plenty right. The all-conquering Doom Bar was on offer, along with 2/3 other ales. LondonWolf - 21 Feb 2012 00:21 |
Visited yesterday, excellent meal Sunday Roast, and value for money. The real ales were perfect, and the staff friendly. retired - 1 Aug 2011 15:15 |
