this is a nice cheap place, looks like a georgian manor house.. carvery was a bargain and tasted ok. but skip the desert as it was ghastly.. frozen packet poo....

Snot and bogey pie and that's just the beer, gonna buy this place......... and turn it into a little chef!

Agree with pj7208, the place is in desparate need of refurbishment. It really is a bit rough around the edges. However, they do have London Pride on tap, and the Guinness was really cold.
As to the food, really not too bad at all. Lets face it, �3.25 for a full carvery? Don't knock it 'til you've tried it!! Still the long queue though.
Not the place to take your Granny for her birthday.

You feel like you've gone back to the eighties when you walk into the Pre.
We went a couple of weeks ago after they'd taken a rather large advertisement out locally, advertising their carvery.
Food was actually ok , however the poor guy carving the meat desperately needed help as people were queuing out of the door and into the hallway.
Some one came out to bring more vegetable and proceeding to wipe his nose and the sweat from his brow with his hands.
Would be a great place if it was totally reburbished!
