Great, friendly staff. Really accommodating and made us feel really welcome. Lots of space, great views. Had some wonderful real ale including Keltek Magik ( yum) and good food. Carpet needed a bit of a clean.

Please disregard the comments below, i have just realised i`ve left a comment about the wrong pub (idiot), i was refering to the pub/restaurant called the Mote right next to the beach in the village. The Crows Nest was infact the friendliest pub in Port Isaac by a million miles, the landlord and staff were very helpful and the view was brilliant. Its a bit more down to earth than a lot of places around there.

Either i walked into a completely different pub or im guessing this place has changed beyond recognition from the previous comments. My wife and i recently spent our honeymoon in Port Isaac, beautiful little place. Was looking forward to checking out the pubs, had visions of lobster pots and salty old sea dogs belting out sea shantys, well nothing could be further from the truth. The place had some sort of north african theme going on???, it was like walking into some poncey bar down the Kings Road which figures because i presume half the village is probably owned by well off London types. Bit sad really because most of the tourists visit to see this lovely little Cornish fishing village, im sure they would want to see a pub thats authentically Cornish as opposed to some some pretentious gastro/pub?? that could be anywhere?.. or perhaps im wrong.

This called THE CROW'S NEST now. Not a building easily leant to creating atmosphere, but this doesnt seem to matter. A warm welcome is always on hand, good range of lager and local real ale, usually a telly quietly showing the football.
It has huge front windows continuosly along the front, which give an uninterupted view of the sea which is truly akin to that from a crows nest.

Is this now called the Crow's Nest? Big Screen for footy and pool tables make this a functional, fairly charmless barn of a pub. What with the satellite facilities it doesn;t have to try too hard to get a crowd, and it doesn't try. If you want charm, try Port Gaverne Hotel or the Golden Lion at Port Isaac harbour

Visited this pub with a mate during the summer of 98 whilst walking the coastal path. I remember it well, it was during the world cup AND the night England played Argentina..we just made it in time, after walking from Tintagel that day. The atmosphere was great that night..until we got knocked out. the place was leathered. The pub had 2 pool tables at the time. Food was also good.
