Dreadful experience for a local person.Discriminated for sitting at the bar and requested to relocate to a table. The pub was not at all busy.Other people sat in vacated seats and were not asked to move ? Reputedly a free house but some tie with Marstons evident and the beer quality is far from acceptable and I have exercised the benefit of the doubt on several occasions and the last time the 49'er was akin to Sarsons finest Malt Vinegar.Tonight met up with friends and no ice followed by a limp attitude ? This was a very favoured pub of mine for many many years but various changes have seen the Bull deteriorate.Had very high hopes the recent change to private ownership might resurrect the Bull Inn but unfortunately it is not the case.My family and I also ate there recently just Fish & Chips and it was awful.Sad to see the Bull decline this way.Someone somewhere would do well to put these issues right because the Bull Inn lies in a fabulous location and an idyllic destination pub but the kind of discrimination I was subjected to this evening as a local was far from acceptable.

Went down to visit a friend in the area and stumbled upon The Bull Inn. Very welcoming and friendly staff, intresting and inavitive menu, resonable priced and delicious. Plus great wines. A gem!

Highly recommended, a lovely evening all round. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere, lovely staff, best food ever - a taste bud explosion, (actually thanked the chef in person I was so impressed). I can't wait to go back.

A most welcoming pub with mainly locals - food I had was most acceptable. Loads of events listed, seems like it's here for ever, no sign of it closing down. The pint of Badger was well kept and just right. Will try it again later.

We went on a lunch time and only had a starter but it was very nice, reasonbly priced and well presented. The 'gaffer' referred to 11Oct2005 was obviously on an off day, he was abrupt and not very friendly. The young woman behind the bar was a lot better. We were first in and it was clear that toilets had not been cleaned, the urinals were mucky. there were two fires on the go in the bar and it was reasonably cosy. Will not be going again.

Very friendly gaffer and barman. Homely feel in the bar, and the large grassy garden is great for the summer. Selection of Badger ales. Snacks and baggettes available for light lunches. Excellent quality, but at about 5 each, could be considered pricey. I'll go again, though.

Excellent pub though it seems pricy on both food and drink. Pleasant gardentakes the overflow from the nice lounge/restaurant
