In October 2102 the Churchill Arms got a new Landlady and it's a lot better for it. I haven't been in for nearly a year so the change was quite dramatic. The Churchill is now a busy-ish, clean, friendly, vibrant pub with young and old in on a Friday night. It's got a dartboard, Badger beers, good staff, a nice atmosphere, bands on once a month - it's alright.
I can't comment on the food but there were plenty eating in there. I'd give it a go.

I have to agree with you chairboy. We recently had food here and it was nowhere near as good as we had last (Summer 2009). The atmosphere was different too, not a place I'll be in any hurry to come back to unfortunately.

what has happened to the food at this pub,it used to be so good,on the up side the badger was well worth my visit.

I commented favourably on this pub on 15/2/2006, so I was interested to see the reply from "tanderson7" of 18/5/2006.
Answer:- yes, I have been in this pub (several times)! Went there again this week and I don't see why he calls it "a tip". It has just been refurbished/extended etc. now too. And still offers exceptional value (and quality) for meals so I stand by all I said earlier!

Lovely relaxing pub with friendly and helpful staff. A good selection of beers and the food is outstanding quality and value. I recommend it to everyone!

This pub has recently been nicely refurbished & they have done a good job, too. The food is very good & I'll visit often in the future. Oh yes- the staff are great too.
