Excellent little pub with a decent range of Wadworth's beers (IPA, 6X, Horizon) and good honest food. Lovely staff (the landlord couldn't fit us in to eat on our second night but was quite happy to call ahead to his mate at a another pub for us)
We'd just missed (by a week) their now annual open air rock festival in aid of cancer research. Seriously thinking about making the trip next year.

Decent little friendly village pub, Wadworth's beers, pub food (didn't eat but looked ok), camping site out the back. Only drawback is beer a tad expensive. - 3.30 for 6X; that extra 30p makes all the difference! Definitely a proper pub though.

We stumbled across the pub whilst missing a tuning to the one that we were loking for! I am glad that we did. Very good landlord keeping two Waddies ales and a guest which was from Castle Rock brewery called Hemlock, very tasty. The food was excellent, the Steak and Ale pie was substantial and I struggled to finish it. However I did but no room for pubs. Next time! Try this one out, you won't be disappointed.

Picturesque village pub with caravan parking facilities, beer garden and great views of the Wiltshire downs. Well managed Wadworth ales, some of the best I have tried in the area. Landlord very friendly and accommodating, so to are the attentive and polite waitresses and bar staff. Food very good, I can highly recommend the homemade Madras curry.

Good food in a good local without it being a gastro pub - almost unheard of! Expensive and has theme evening which let it down

This is a great little pub with great food and great beer. Also the landlord is a good laugh,in fact all the staff are very friendly and will make you welcome. As I ride 9.5 miles each way on a bike to get there I think that says it all.Give it a try,you won't be sorry.Cheers.

Dropped in for a Sunday lunch and the foog was good and location excellent BUT they serve the most expensive beer in the area... 3.16p for 6X which is the local beer. Is this really necessary?

Very friendly homely pub, set in a wonderful picturesque village with fairytale-like cottages. Ther service from the 2 owners is fantastic, great food, good banter, great place to be on a sunny day as the beer garden is one of the best. Close to the canal, so a good end-of-the-walk pub to settle down in.
