A very good pint of Morland when I visited this week. They had a reasonable selection on their menu as well as having a burger menu - the "George & Dragon" burger was excellent and a lot of it. Many thanks to Paul behind the bar who was very helpful, I will be going back.

I've been meeting up with friends here for a while now, usually once a month. The Morland Original last week was excellent and the usual solitary barmaid was her normal helpful, friendly and efficient self. We always have a meal here, but there has been a noticeable decline in both the choice and the standard during our last three visits. 7/10

Pretty good but can be a little drafty and the pooch that patrols the premises may not be to everyone's taste, amiable as it is. The food is standard pub fare but is slightly above average and the service is absolutely fine. The pub is backgrounded by an idyllic church and the graveyard in whcih George Orwell is interred.

This pub has changed ownership again, however the new couple are carring on the pub/ food in the tradition the last couple started. The beer Green King is in good condition, the food has a good reputation with a varied and interesting menu

excellent village pub, recently taken over by a young enthusiastic couple.
Traditional homecooked food, with small portions available, a great hit with my kids and my mum!

Sun trap courtyard garden, definately worth a visit.

16th Century coaching inn located in peaceful Sutton Courtenay. Nice place to go to. Strange to hear people standing at a bar who can talk properly and communicate without punctuating every second work with f*** but apparently they do still exist and they are to be found in The George and Dragon.

This place is great inside and out, garden is a bit concrete-y but nice enough. Food used to be good but it's just changed hands so all bets are off as far as that's concerned.
They normally serve Morlands Original, Greene King IPA and a guest beer.

I called into this pub for lunch about a month ago. It has a warm, friendly bar, (with open fire) and a pleasant, non-smoking dining area. It had a selection of real ales on tap together with an excellent wine list. The food was excellent - home cooked, hot, delicious, and reasonably priced. The portions were also refreshingly large!!. When I visited it was very busy with what appeared to be local businessmen and women. One of the locals advised that the Dragon pie
is the house speciality and that the pub is locally renowed for it's Sunday lunches. I will certainly be eating there again when I'm next in the area.
