On my first ever visit to Gloucester's pubs, this Wadworth pub on the southern outskirts of the city was my first port of call. It's quite an imposing building on the outside. But it felt a little dull inside and there were only a couple of other customers. Ales are all from Wadworth - IPA, Horizon, Bishop's Tipple & 6X. FA Cup football was on the TV. There is a bowling alley at the rear. The landlord was a friendly guy. Deserves more customer, to create a better atmosphere.

Very welcoming Wadworth pub well worth the mile walk from the station (though only a few minutes from Gloucester Quays). A haven from the busy road, a well-kept pint of Horizon was had.

As everyone has said it is a trek from the station but it is worth the walk, i had a Wadworth strong in the Arm and their guest was Muddy Boot plus the usual suspects fron the Devizes brewer on the bar.

A large imposing building but a bit of a gem. A Wadworths house which offers 6 of their beers plus 3 guests with prices from 2.80 to 3.05. Outdoor seating area next to the main road. Friendly and prompt service. Worth the long walk from the station!

Probably the best pub in the city of Gloucester - old building, old furniture, garden, loads of real ale, Guinness and Murphys. It even has what very few pubs have these days: a friendly landlord and CUSTOMERS! To read about all pubs in Gloucester, Google 'we live in gloucester'.

Ignore the outside, just go in. Great selection of real ales, all on the blackboard with prices. Worth the walk from the centre.
