Churchills is a traditional pub that was quite lively on my Friday evening visit. Karaoke was in full swing in my visit, with a drag queen seemingly finding it popular. There was certainly a mixed bunch in here. But the atmosphere was friendly. The 4 ales were Castle Rock Harvest Pale, Wells Bombardier Glorious English, Shepherd Neame Spitfire & Morland Old Speckled Hen. I like a pub with characters. One of the better pubs I tried in Blackpool.

visited when I was at a festival in the Winter Gardens full of characters and what seems 24 hour Kareoke. Friendly and mixed crowd well worth a visit.

This used to be a tetley pub The Criterion in the 70s.
Visited on a Friday lunchtime, rated at 5 as it's a pleasant pub. However hugely disappointed to be served the worst pint I have ever been offered. The xxxb was so off it would have been better sprinkled on chips. For a pub in cask marque I expected better.

As the previous post says " one of the better real ale pubs in Blackpool". In central Blackpool yes I agree but there isn't much competition. Called in recently as the neighbouring Gillespies for shut for a refurb. Busy pub and friendly. Ale on our visit was poor - only Spitfire on which we visited which was awful and unfinishable.

Would be wholly unremarkable in most other towns of a similar size, but this is one of the better real ale pubs in Blackpool. Fairly civilised inside, with various seating areas on different levels. Four handpumps, with an unadventurous selection of beers such as Bateman's XB (2.65).

Love this pub! The real ales are nice - such as the Bombardier and the Spitfire. The other beers are priced ok for Blackpool.
Entertainment is worth a look - very amusing at times! Old Frankie Whittle is a living legend!
I like this pub!!! Four ales as previously described - I had Bateman's XXXB, and it was well kept, very tasty.
Very friendly locals who chatted for a good ten minutes, and a landlord who was also friendly!
Limited selection of real ales as previously mentioned. XXXB was I'm good condition. Probably one of the better pubs in Blackpool. Gay friendly but welcoming to all. Worth a visit of you are in blackpool and want a half decent pint.
4 handpumps featuring nothing amazing but the first ale pub visited in town, opted 4 a pint of Bateman's XXXB which was in top notch condition, 8/10

Something of a throwback, you could imagine that this place hasn't changed since the Sixties. Ordinary beer, Bombardier, Spitfire, Hen and Batemans XXXB none of which was great. Entertainment was so bad it was good with Frankie and Friends, a short bloke in a bowler hat accompanied by an accordion, and "Female Impersonator" Jo-Anna Dawes. Locals were friendly and we had the sort of evening where you are not sure whether it was brilliant or cringeworthy.
Great pub, away from the front so avoids the stag and hen crowwds, food was average, staff are friendly, entertainment weekends and the quiz on a Tuesday night is always good for a laugh.
Full of character, certainly, but very plain beer range and quality (Bombardier)
You can't realy go wrong here, their are 3 pubs here or come out of the back door,2-3 doors away is the Cedar Tavern, gay, but not realy,if your with wife she can go down the street for shopping in the market
OK, it's in the Good Beer Guide, but do you really want to sup a guest ale whilst watching a tranny cabaret artiste? Maybe I'm a bit square!
Once again the railway station thing seems to have gone wrong,Blackpool South being more like 2 and half miles away while North is around quarter of a mile, mildly gay, entertainment at weekend, lots of memrobilia, not bad beer, plenty of places to eat nearby including the Yorkshire Fisheries, one of the best chippies in Blackpool
