Churchills is a traditional pub that was quite lively on my Friday evening visit. Karaoke was in full swing in my visit, with a drag queen seemingly finding it popular. There was certainly a mixed bunch in here. But the atmosphere was friendly. The 4 ales were Castle Rock Harvest Pale, Wells Bombardier Glorious English, Shepherd Neame Spitfire & Morland Old Speckled Hen. I like a pub with characters. One of the better pubs I tried in Blackpool. blue_scrumpy - 31 Oct 2016 18:59 |
visited when I was at a festival in the Winter Gardens full of characters and what seems 24 hour Kareoke. Friendly and mixed crowd well worth a visit. shoreleaf - 8 Aug 2012 07:42 |
This used to be a tetley pub The Criterion in the 70s. imagineers - 19 Feb 2011 12:40 |
Visited on a Friday lunchtime, rated at 5 as it's a pleasant pub. However hugely disappointed to be served the worst pint I have ever been offered. The xxxb was so off it would have been better sprinkled on chips. For a pub in cask marque I expected better. sheepy1209 - 30 Sep 2010 19:46 |
As the previous post says " one of the better real ale pubs in Blackpool". In central Blackpool yes I agree but there isn't much competition. Called in recently as the neighbouring Gillespies for shut for a refurb. Busy pub and friendly. Ale on our visit was poor - only Spitfire on which we visited which was awful and unfinishable. bloomfieldjpm - 11 Aug 2010 05:05 |
