Wheatsheaf, Rumbolds Hillback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Great traditional Hall & Woodhouse pub serving 2 ales (third handpump was subsequently turned round) - had good pints of Sussex bitter & the Tanglefoot. Mind your head on those ceiling beams. Worth coming again for.

Was in Midhurst today and looked for something reasonable for lunch. It ended up as a toss up between the Wheatsheaf and the Pizza Express. Opted for here and found this a real nice pub. Lad behind bar very helpful and meal excellent, chips slightly underdone but really good portions made up for that. Hofbrau on draught was reasonable. Recommended.

Love this pub... always get a warm welcome, like a long lost friend, great atmosphere, food fresh and always good, Ales are well kept but are only Badger beers and Hofbrau lagers but they can't help that! And even though the landlord and landlady have had to stop live music due to complainers who shouldn't have bought a house next door to a pub, they are trying new ways to entertain their customers so I am defo booking tickets to their 1st comedy night in Feb! Need something to lighten our lives in what is becoming a terminally dull place to live!

good atmos in this very smart & character filled pub. good food, drinks and service. shame about hall & woodlouse ales but everything else positive.
keep up the good work.

Drinking Magner's - whatever the price - is not reasonable, but lots of people still do it. (Sorry, this has nothing to do with The Wheatsheaf, which I have never visited, but which I'm sure is delightful - even more so when VIC CRACKNELL is performing live there, as he so regularly does.)

It's not that quiet in Midhurst when thing kick off in the Chinese Takeaway 200yds down the road - and that's every Saturday night!
The Wheatsheaf is a good pub, but 6.15 for a Magner's and a bottle of Corona - hardly reasonable, in my book.
After all, the majority of Midhurst residents are not the polo-playing, landed gentry types.
An excellent Fish & Chip shop is situated opposite, by the way.

I came here with my girlfriend on Saturday night (9 Dec). The place was relatively quiet, but then again, this is (YAWN) Midhurst. There is more chance of West Ham winning away from home in the league, than there is finding a lively atmosphere in most boozers in this town on a Saturday night. Saying that, I was served immediately given how empty the place was and I liked the smart dcor/pub layout in here. A Magners and bottle of Corona came to 6.15, which I thought was reasonable.
There was a stoolball function upstairs and a couple of women from the group joined us. My girlfriend knew them and they added to the enjoyment of our night. For me this is an ideal place to come with the missus for a quiet drink, as opposed to searching for H-Files on a Saturday night, so the Wheatsheaf did a sterling job!
