Bruce Arms, Mashamback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Second pint of the evening and Old Peculier was my choice here. And I don't mean the strange conversation we had with one of the inebriated locals who appeared later on at the White Bear. Also on sale were Theakston's Lightfoot & Best and Black Sheep. Strongbow was the only cider unfortunately. The Old Peculier was excellent and was belatedly recommended to me by someone else in the White Bear. But if there has to be one pub in Masham which wasn't quite as good as the others then the Bruce Arms was it.

Very warm and friendly welcoming country pub. Clean and well stocked. good selection of real ales. nice selection of reasonably priced food at lunchtime. in the evening the indian resturant opens, which i can also recommend. Well worth a visit in my opinion.

Really well kept beer. Choice of Black Sheep, Landlord and Theakstons with a guest in summer. Has an enormous beer garden and does decent (locally-sourced) food at lunchtime.

Lovely and welcoming pub in the village, with good choice of beers and superb beer garden at the back.

Not sure how this pub keeps its Cask Marque listing, Theakston Best not in good condition, neither the Black Sheep on the 2 occasions I tried them last week. A bit surreal as well having an Indian restaurant in the public bar!

Traditional pub tucked away in a side street off the market place. White washed building partly with exposed stone, ceiling beams, and wood interior, it comprises one room that appears to have been created out of three smaller ones. Tired Black Sheep Bitter plus Theakston's Best and John Smith's Cask, a fourth handpull was not in use during my visit. Run of the mill range of kegs; Becks, 1664, Fosters, Carling plus Guinness and a cider. Bench seating all round, a large TV in one room plus a selection of machines and a dart board, there is also a pleasant rear garden. When I was there only the landlord was working, serving a few quiet older men and women.

Thoroughly decent locals' pub. Theakston's Best on top form. Warm and friendly on a vile night.

Had theakie's best bitter, Black Sheep and John Smiths cask (yuk!) on the bar. Cask Marque pub, Theakies was spot on, Black Sheep ok. Nice locals bar, Good juke box, Dartboard etc, good atmosphere.
