Dont expect young trendy people in here. It is an old fashioined pub full of the old regular punters, gets a bit boisterous, but fabulous for post footie match drinking. Really cheap and good atmosphere.

Always busy no matter what time of day. Dont mind the odd pint in the Beehive for a change now and again. Proper geordie bar which will never change.

Called in on the way through to the Posada as the exterior looked interesting in an old-fashioned tiled way. Certainly is a drinkers pub, flatscreens with horse-racing everywhere making it feel like almost any bar in Belfast...nothing here to interest the real ale drinker and the "Exhibition Ale" keg beer we took a swift half of was possibly the worst "beer" I have ever tasted in my life. Definitely not one for the imbiber of fine ales...

It's a drinkers pub, i.e drinkers who want cheap alcohol and aren't too bothered in what form it arrives. Will probably have to close down when the smoking ban comes in , because it is the law in here that you must smoke Spanish Lambert and Butlers

As Geordie as it gets.

Remember sitting having pints at the window here, nice little place I recall. The Toon Takeaway is just off to the right on the photo. Magic.
