Out and about on FA work again, lots of people in the garden, didn't venture into the eating area. Compact bar with the usual selection of Everards beers and some guests, perfectly acceptable pint of Tiger.

Just had to mention a beer on draft during my last visit... Phipps NBC Bison Brown. I understand the bottle version was a best seller in days gone by, and I have to say if you like Brown ale this is a must. A smooth, malty brew with the creamy texture of a stout but the hoppy character of a strong ale. I love Newcastle Brown, but this is better...

Pub and ale okay though found it a bit Royston Vasey with one or two of the locals resembling escapees from 'Deliverance'.

Totally agree with Blue Scrumpy... By far the best beer choice in the village, and always kept well. Usually Original, Tiger, Sunchaser and three guests. Food is good and reasonably priced as well. I prefer to sit in the actual pub, as the Restaurant is a little out of the way and can lack atmosphere.

The Soar Bridge probably has the best ale selection in this town - Everards Tiger, Sunchaser & Original, Banks & Taylor Black Squirrel, Batemans XB & Castle Rock Crafty Flanker. Cider was Westons Family Reserve. The last of the Sunday lunches was being consumed and live rugby was on the TV. I preferred the Navigation for location. But this is undoubtedly a good pub.

Nice pub... worth going for the ale. Everards original is a really good pint and plenty of guests as well. Some good food offers to...

Decent village local with good range of Everards ales. Reasonable outside area alongside the car park.

Another superb pub with a much improved atmosphere and 4 or 5 real ales to choose from.
