Lad In The Lane, Erdingtonback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
See a comment from July 2008 - 'Good area out the back for smokers'. Shame the sour faced fat woman that came in the other night didn't use it. What is up with drinkers around here - seems the law never changed.
Yes, building great but just sad to see it in decline, was never brilliant, even years ago but has a very 'tired' feeling about it now. Beer ok, no real ale but Theakstons dark is next best thing and yes, the staff are really friendly, one of the few places around Erdington I felt welcome.
Real shame about the smoking, won't be going back but seems to be the norm.

The lad In the lane Cracking little boozer great charicter cheap beers overly friendly staff can't go wrong top pub. Just stay away from the chicken rolls.

A wonderful building, with parts dating back to Medieval times (1400?). However, apart from that, it is a very 'local boozer', and was quiet on the Thursday night I went in (6 in total, including me and a mate).
I reckon it can get 'tasty' in there too, on big nights. Beer unspectaular.

Beautiful boozer dated about 1400 and thats about the only good thing you can say about it.
Full of chavs, doleys and other undersirables.

Fantastic building, oldest pub in Birmingham, building dates back to 1400.
Pity they can't pick it up and put it somewhere nicer than Bromford Lane.
Quite friendly though, good area out the back for smokers.

No ale (which was disappointing). Gassed bitter was alright. Pub was very quiet (weekday evening).
Nothing special, but far from bad.

Visited 17/03/07: Karaoke night; 2 females (barmaids), 15 males. Bloody awful.

Situated in a residential area, on the main road. Suitable for those who prefer a quiet drink.
