| See a comment from July 2008 - 'Good area out the back for smokers'. Shame the sour faced fat woman that came in the other night didn't use it. What is up with drinkers around here - seems the law never changed. Yes, building great but just sad to see it in decline, was never brilliant, even years ago but has a very 'tired' feeling about it now. Beer ok, no real ale but Theakstons dark is next best thing and yes, the staff are really friendly, one of the few places around Erdington I felt welcome. | A wonderful building, with parts dating back to Medieval times (1400?). However, apart from that, it is a very 'local boozer', and was quiet on the Thursday night I went in (6 in total, including me and a mate). I reckon it can get 'tasty' in there too, on big nights.
