Second stop on a midweek stroll around Newcastle pubs was the Pacific House (first stop was the Town Mouse Ale House, not listed on here). It has a couple of floors, with plenty of drinking space. I'd planned to eat here. But, it didn't look too inspiring. So, I gave it a miss. Just 2 real ales were on - Stu Brew Bald Eagle & Mordue Millenium Bridge. I had the Bald Eagle. In comparison with some of the beers I had later, it wasn't a bad drop. I was expecting real cider in here. But, unfortunately they no longer stock it. A touch disappointing.

Re-named the Pacific House a while back. Usually has 4 real ales on. Not too bad, I've had a couple of winners in here.

Like drinking in a leisure centre. Still looks the same as the day it opened. Nothing much going for it. Always seems to be full of older women before they go to Sgt Peppers. Best just to stay clear of the place.

It seems to cater for the fur coat and no knicker brigade.

This is place is now closed - rubbish!

Agreed, a good meeting place. Gets busy on match days. Decent food at reasonable prices. Sometimes slow to get served. Live football. Reasonable priced drinks, trebles very good value.
