The food is very good and the welcome great

The Shore Hotel enjoys fine expansive views across a wide bay. However, it is very exposed to the elements. A front patio provides refuge for hardy smokers and drinkers. Inside is quite cosy. There is a bar area and a more popular restaurant. Okells Bitter, Bushys Bitter, Old Bushy Tail & Shuttleworth Snap IPA were all served. Cider was Stowford Press. I thought the welcome from the landlord was a little frosty, perhaps because he didn't recognise us. Otherwise, a nice little pub.

Lovely lively pub but I found it was difficult to get to as there is not a frequent bus service. Left my husband at the Albert, and gave myself an hour, half hour each way to get there and back, and only just made it. It was pub 26 out of 27 I wanted for my crawl of the island, and I was glad I had made it, even though my Bushys Old Bushy Tail had to go down extremely quickly. Lovely location on the shore as its name suggests, with outside seating. Enjoyed the shore walk back to the Albert instead of by road.

For a place out in the sticks the food is surprisingly good. Restaurant is non smoking. Beer prices pretty good too. Large TV and pool table in the bar. Seats outside to watch the world go by and enjoy the scenery.

Great location, great hosts, great food.
I live on the Isle of Man and often go there for a wonderful tuna melt and a chardonnay and on a sunny day look out over sparkling Gansey Bay to the town of Port St Mary or if I let my imagine run wild, see Wales in the distance!!

Checked out the Shore today and pleasantly surprised. Too many beers to list but cold Guiness and Jon Smiths is there with an array of Okells and whatnot.
They do En-suite/Sea View B&B for 30 pppn here too (forget asking for TT and MGP weeks)
Indian grub is Mon, Quiz on Tue, Thai on Thu. Traditional pub grub at other times. A real proper pub yippee.
Debbie and Andie Lagden will look after you and the locals are good for a chat about God and the world. Super atmo. Luvvit.
