| The Shore Hotel enjoys fine expansive views across a wide bay. However, it is very exposed to the elements. A front patio provides refuge for hardy smokers and drinkers. Inside is quite cosy. There is a bar area and a more popular restaurant. Okells Bitter, Bushys Bitter, Old Bushy Tail & Shuttleworth Snap IPA were all served. Cider was Stowford Press. | Lovely lively pub but I found it was difficult to get to as there is not a frequent bus service. Left my husband at the Albert, and gave myself an hour, half hour each way to get there and back, and only just made it. It was pub 26 out of 27 I wanted for my crawl of the island, and I was glad I had made it, even though my Bushys Old Bushy Tail had to go down extremely quickly. | For a place out in the sticks the food is surprisingly good. Restaurant is non smoking. Beer prices pretty good too. Large TV and pool table in the bar. Seats outside to watch the world go by and enjoy the scenery. Wiley - 30 May 2006 11:47 |
