the food is cold burnt and disgusting i have had better from a seconday school kitchen cooked by school kids ,i will not tell friends about this it should be good as it has been done up,where they get 3.5 stars from i do not know (maybe free with a packet of crisps)

I have been drinking in the heron for about 6 weeks now, all my friends meet up there,you have a friendly welcome from Mags (the landlady)and her team. The food tastes great there to. I recommend you visit it if you ain't

I have been drinking in the Heron for 3 years now and have seen a hell of alot of managers come and go. I think the only manager that came close to being as good as Mags is now was Dave, i only relised something on the last day, made me laugh, anyway insted of picking holes in the heron actually come down experince different days there. I don't drink no where else thats for sure and i dont think you could get a friendlier staff team.

Unsavory characters are slowly working their way back into this pub, although the smoking ban may deter them? Staff are unwilling to do any work, when you can find one! Food is a bit hit & miss, depending on who's working in the kitchen. Too many bar flies; have they never heard of exterminators??

hi i arrived at The Heron on the 5th Feb this year. i plan on keeping out the unsavoury characters.
We run a qiuz on sundays, pool competion on tuesdays and free pool on fridays 7 - 11pm. dogs are welcome on a lead in the sports bar. come and join and join us

With the arrival of the new manager, and his clearing out of all the unsavoury characters, the Heron is now becoming a nice place to have a drink and a meal. With a quiz night on Sundays and various promotions, I can now say this is a pub I am very happy to give my custom to.

Another change of management has made an even bigger impression on this pub. Everything is better than it was, and at last they've got IPA on tap!!!!

This pub has had a huge turn arund in the last 12 months. A new Manageress has made the pub shine and I would highly recomened the food, staff and atmosphere here.
