Currently closed and undergoing yet another transformation

Remember this place as it's first incarmation as the Carney Arms in the days when 'trendy' meant hanging a railway sleeper with weeds on it from the ceiling. Has undergone many 'transmogrifications' since then and the current one is just more a case of 'much of a muchness'.Bit of a dance area in the 'cellar' bit, a pool table at the front window.... no ales on show, 3-50 for Stella..... key selling point is.......... bus stop outside and next door to Finchley Road & Frognal station ( as in you can drop in for a swift pint before catching some form of transport to somrwhere better.

appears to have closed down; not entirely surprised as never sure what market this pub was aiming for.

My advice.........avoid like the plague!!!!!!!!
|
Walked in. Asked do you have any real beer?
"We have Newcastle Brown in a bottle."
Walked out.

Have only been in here twice. It is not a destination, it's not even a local pub. The interior is REALLY bad. I don't know who designed it. Mostly lager on tap.
I will probably never go back here, mainly because it is characterless and a bit chavvy.

Ive been into the 3 One 7 a few times in the afternoon for the football/cricket and a couple of times on a Friday night to take advantage of their midnight license and Ive never seen the slightest sign of any violence.
The security guards do stand out but then maybe thats why there is no trouble. My pint of lager/cider has always been up to scratch and served with a smile and there is always some out of the way seating where one can relax.
I wouldnt make a conscious effort to drink here but I dont think it is run that badly.

Previously know as O'Henrys before it was closed down (and in my opinion totally ruined) for expensive refurbishment. Very disappointing, considering for years this was probably the liveliest and friendliest pub in Hampstead and the place to pull and meet friends of the opposite sex. Now trading as 3 0ne7, I found the place last weekend souless with no atmosphere with 4 visible security staff not at all blending in with the surroundings. Add the other two chaps employed at the door and no wonder the price of drinks, for a nothing special pub, are quite expensive. Good selection of drinks , and nice staff but what a shame though
|
Not a very impressive place - soulless, no proper ale, has the air of a place that could get very loud and aggressive on weekend nights (I've always kept well clear at those times, though, so can't comment definitively). No particular point visiting.

Trendy over 21s sports and late night bar with 3 floors, 3 bars and great staff. For sport theres over 16 screens and a great full food menu. Its a must to try out since the change of management in may 06.

I've had some reports that the pub's Sky settings may have been reverted back to non-widescreen. I'll have to follow up and try and get confirmation of what the actual aspect ratios in use are.

Dismal.
Garish, poor selection of beers, hideously over-priced.
Also, dreadfully run. It is a huge space (three floors) of which only one is ever really open because one is always shut and one is full of boxes. They have the worst placed televisions (including a Big Screen) I have ever seen but that doesnt matter because they only ever turn one of them on for football matches (despite apparently being a Sports bar). I can only assume it is going slowly out of business.

Any negative comment is just a lie!! Its a fantastic venue that offers all you could ever hope or dream of (if you dream of living in a trailer) expect to find the biggest chips on peoples shoulders you could ever imagine!!

I like this place alot. Varied crowd, nice staff. The girls are nice on the eyes too! Thursday night karoke. The drinks are reasonable. Its open to twelve on the weekends. Highly recomended.
|
I` used to work here when it was run by the brilliant Peter and Wendy, 17 years ago, when it was O `Henrys, doesn`t have the same atmosphere, but I give it a 7 anyway, and Peter, Wendy, if you see this, I still love you both.

I went on a sat night + it was quite good. The age group is mainly 18-25yrs, but quite a good crowd! Good for boys cos the girls are all in short skirts and good for the girls cos most of the boys are buff! Musics ok, some up-to-date R&B! So quite a good place to go before you go out to a club! Drinks are reasonable!

Great Pub, Three floors and nice arrangement. shame the bottom bar doesn't open, but beer garden, tv's, pool tables, grest staff, even the bouncers are nice.
|
This Pub is fantastic, thursday night karaoke, friday night bit full of white trash but still a good night out. Excellent service, Nice Layout, Lots of TV's for sport and even when the DJ's are playing on Fridays and Saturday there is some kind of sport on. 8/10 awesome

Packed full of white trash.
|
Hmm, Overloud, souless R'nB? Rammed to the point of bursting with tracksuited, white trainered, gold sovereigned Neds? Yup, that'll be the 317.
Absolute arse. The only reason I'm not giving it a '1' is that there are lots of TV's for the football.
This area is an absolute barren patch for pubs. My advice; get a bus, go somewhere good.
|
Nice spacious pub with 3 floors and a beer garden. Usually lively on Friday and Saturday nights. Reasonably priced beer and pool tables.
|
Feels like you're drinking in an airport/hotel bar.
