Went last friday for my freinds 30th had a great time, cocktails were great too and the bar staff were really freindly. x

After hearing about Bar38 being open again I thought it would be rude not to pop down to see the changes. I expected nothing and was overcome with the very updated new look. This is definately a bar I'd want to go to every night out! Staff seem really friendly and the cocktails were fantastic too!

ITS REOPENED!!! This was always my favourite place to go for a night out on the Quayside! Walked past on Saturday and the place was bouncing! Just like old days really. My favourite bar is back!!!!

Good to pop in when wandering along the river - friendly staff too

Nice to look at but no substance and no atmosphere. Drinks expensive and small!

Bar 38 is a great pub, refurbished by Sanderson Contracts Ltd. on behalf of S&N. It has a trendy, modern feel to it, with nice tables and seating areas encircled in different parts so promotes a friendly atmosphere.
It has great toilets, strangely enough, and has an "orb/egg" seating area which, although sometimes stinks of beer, is great for groups of 6 or 7 people who go out.
The only draw back is that it's slightly off the Quayside, so maybe doesn't get enough business.

Mmmmm...came in here after going to Pitcher and Piano along the Quayside and to be honest was not that impressed. Bit too small and too many blokes for my liking, although couldn't complain about the price of the drinks!
