I've been working in Glasgow this week and have had breakfast and dinner in here every day. Friendly staff, good beer and nice breakfasts.

Called in on 1st June. WOW its 1000% improved....WHY
The so called female manager aka Little Miss Hitler has gone.
This Spoons is now run under responsible management.
Large open plan Spoons - there is a room upstairs too although it was closed for a function when I visited. Average Spoons pub.

Crappiest of the Glasgow spoons, dreary, shabby and a poor ale selection. Had a coffee and hoofed it!
Great location, better than the Counting House.
Better of the two spoons near Central. Large two story bar with the usual range of food and good real ale. Large screens show football.
It's because the post code is incorrect, it should read G1 4QD
looked at the local map but couldnt find jamaica st on it!!!is it on ingram st?
The upstairs bar is less zoo-like and is nice if you can get one of the tables near the window. Totally different beer selection from downstairs.
Have been in here a few times now I have to say its one of the better 'spoons pubs. Service is fairly quick compared to other 'spoons outlets. The beer is well kept too and a good selection too. Handy for the station too.
Handily positioned for the station. Five ales on tap - worth dropping in if you're an ale fan.

I have to admit I'm beginning to change my views on JDW pubs - they're getting better. Although the venue is like an aircraft hanger, it has a good atmosphere and the staff seem to know what they're doing. My pint of Kelburn's Carte Blanche was properly poured by an enthusiastic barman who made sure I go the right amount, and it only cost 1.78. I'll happily come back here next time I'm catching a train out of Glasgow.

wat can i say apart from drinking in a goldfish bowl...but the beer was spot on..it was curry night so the place was packed with no room to sit but hey...signs of a good pub..wasnt kept waiting and service was on the ball.
Service service service.Where and how are these people trained ? Have stood waiting to be seved for over 15 minutes when not even busy. Can someone in charge please just tell the staff to at least acknowledge that you are there. We realise you are busy but a friendly nod or some recognition would go a long way to improving the awful situation as it is. That and employing staff who can actually speak fluent english. I guess it's a sign of the times.

Bottled beer only when I visited...A younger crowd that a lot of Wethers...Upstairs is better proposition for seating/views

Just spent a weekend in Glasgow and went in quite a few bars, this being one of them. It was round the corner from where we stayed so we went in a few times and to be honest you can't say a lot more than the other reviews - it's a Wetherspoons. Slow and surly service though - which i found in a lot of places over the weekend unfortunately. Beer wasn't great either but certainly better than some Wetherspoons I've been in.
usual wetherspoons poor service cold real ale cask marque is a joke
great pub will be back next time im in glasgow
A Wetherspoon's House. Good beer and food at reasonable prices. Scottish beers are generally available and bar staff are friendly.
