The Leg of Mutton and Cauliflower, Ashtead

Used to live near the Leg in which time it has gone from poor to excellent to dire to excellent again. New managers have really added to the place. Good food, really good value and couldn't be more helpful. My wife asked for a brie and bacon baguette, asked if there was any cranberry sauce to go with it, they didn't so they went out and bought some from next door shop for her. Couldn't have tried harder to please. Had the homemade pie which was top notch and very tasty. Highly recommended.

Nice selection of beers.

The Fox Revived, Horley

Good food, reasonably priced (and cheaper than the Jolly Farmer, it's sister pub), nicely full with attentive staff. Great for a bit of mid week supper.

The Plough, Coldharbour

Went along with some trepidation expecting a dragon at the door needing to be fought before getting a beer. Not so. A warm welcome and a handshake when we left I really don't know what the fuss (from other posters) is all about. Maybe I was lucky. So take the dragon fear out of the equation and you have a lovely pub with good beer in a great location. Try it - you might be surprised and as lucky as we were.
