The Lamb Inn, Eastbourne

Have visited this pub on a number of occasions since arriving in Eastbourne, so feel that I am now able to leave a review .
This pub is under new ownership and they have apparently spent quite a lot of money on a refurb, but I can't really comment on that as I didn't see the pub before the improvements.
A really nice atmosphere in the pub when I dropped in with a few friends just before Xmas, both customers and bar staff very congenial.
The pub was quite crowded when we visited, but aren't all pubs in the run up to Xmas.
Would really reccomend this pub if you want a drink in a unique setting-there was apparently a pub on this site in 1180!
Only one minor complaint, how about some good looking barmen for us girls-only appeared to be women serving when we there!]
I will have to try the food next time, as the food that I saw being taken to the tables looked really scrummy!!

The Drive, Eastbourne

The recent postings on here are downright nasty!
The last five reviews posted are mean spirited, poisonous and are extremely hurtful to the owners and their staff.
This is a bit of a chavvy pub, with groups of unsavoury looking individuals always hanging aound the entrance, but does not in anyway deserve these kind of reviews!
The Drive appears to be popular with locals, and no doubt will continue to prosper-it appears to have quite a few 'regulars'.
The Lamb attracts a certain kind of clientele (mainly middle-class), while The Drive attracts a different crowd ( mainly members of the working or shirking class), but to each their own.
A review is an assessment or an appraisal, not an excuse to write malicious or wounding comments to cause upset or offense to an individual or a group.
And it is certainly not the way to settle some slight or, to settle a personal score!
Did somebody refuse to serve you in The Drive, Karlboy?
