The Fur and Feather Inn, Woodbastwick

This pub is very popular, but I was very disappointed with my meal and although they ask if everything is OK they don't seem very interested in doing anything about complaints. Here is my experience: Wednesday 30th June 2010 I ordered beef carpaccio - it was a thick slice of cold roast beef! I sent it back, which was readily exchanged, but I then felt I had to choose something and selected asparagus tempura, which was not really what I wanted. I found it a bit greasy.
However, what really upset me was the salad that came with my hamburger was soiled, and had bits of rotten leaf - not what I expected from a pub that boasted fresh local produce. I gave feedback - the staff expressed concern but said no one else had ever complained. I said it seemed to me that they were so popular they couldn't really care less. So not a pleasant evening. As a visitor to the area I can say I have found several other pubs in the area that offer a much better dining experience. I would not recommend this pub.
I couldn't recommend this pub to anyone."
