The Running Horses, Lydiate

Re-Opened. Wouldnt recommend it though.
Nice decor but the blonde (very common - voice and attitude lowers the tone) was rude and ignorant - ment to to a family friendly pub, but this wasnt the impression. felt out of place and where it should be a relaxed canal side pub, its not. the food was OK nothing to rave about, the Scarrisbrick further along the cannal is much nicer, friendly and there food is faboulous with a hostess that makes you feel welcome and at home - which is what you want!
The beer was expensive aswell, infact all the drinks were expensive.
Overall we have been, seen and never again.
Aside from the only average food, exspensive food the blonde (common as muck) hostess was more than enough to keep me and my family away!
We live in Lydiate, and would expect more - She clearly does not live or come from Lydiate or she would know better and speak and behave with more class than she has shown.
Avoid if you have a family and wish them to feel welcome! (though i would HIGHLY recommend the Scarrisbrick up the road Beautifl food, service and pub!)
