This joke of a disgusting pub is a hive of inequity the idiot who manages the place needs a wash
The place cant keep the staff because any young nice looking girl who gets employed there is fair game for this moth eaten excuse for a manager
BE WARNED DONT LET YOUR DAUGHTER NEAR THE PLACE the brewery have been informed and the licencees dont give a damn

Visited the pub one day last week with my partner for a bite to eat after a bike ride down the canal. Food was mediocre, and definitely was not home cooked and fresh (as stated on the menu). Can't say much about the staff and what I presume was one of the owners who was sat in the corner looking like he'd rather be somewhere else. The man behind the bar, which I assume was the manager, was not someone who I would want running my pub. His appearance was atrocious, he looked like he hadn't slept or been home for days and I'm almost certain he had been drinking whilst working as when I was placing my order I could smell alcohol on his breath (which is not ideal for a child friendly pub) and I'm almost certain he had no teeth. However, the girl who served us our meals was very welcoming and polite, I think her name was Gemma. shame that the rest of the staff were miserable, must take after their owner. Won't be visiting again anytime soon! Don't be fooled by the rating I have given as that was purely for the girl mentioned above

The Running Horses as from December 2013 is now under new ownership. As the manager I thought I'd take the time to address some of the issues people may of had in the past and tell you a little of whatvwevare now doing. Firstly we are now a dog friendly pub for friendly dogs. As such dogs are now welcome in the bar area at any time. We would also like to extend a welcome hand to any fishermen who were put off visiting by signs posted outside that have now been removed.
As for the pub itself we now have a new menu made up of good homemade food sourced from the local area. Families are welcome and bookings are taken happily however due to liscencing laws all children must be off the premises by 9 o'clock and only children over 14 are allowed in the bar area. We have also reintroduced live music every Friday and Saturday and have a fine selection of cask ales to help you enjoy your night. I hope to see you all soon.

I was told that this pub/resturant was fantastic and it lived up to this comment. Friendly staff, Landlady and fantastic food made the day a lovely day out for me and my family.

The play area for my family was fantastic.

GREAT PUB!! 10/10

This pub was suggested to me as a friendly outgoing nice day out. It was anything but, I have never known any landlady as rude, obnoxious and stuck up as to what I witnessed in the pub that day. I will certainly not be suggesting this to anyone nor will I re-vist this awful place. Not only was the landlady rude to the customers but she is also rude to her staff.
If this was to under-go new management the place could be worth a visit.
